She must have been quite a sight. The unusually "nice" drawing of her confirms this, as well as this little Pessoa poem:

The eyes have shown it perfectly " a lifetime of pain and disgrace" however short it may have been . Where would the world be without Hannis. I say this not as an afficionado of S&M but one who appreciates those who have suffered the aforementioned quote undeserveadly (spell check required).

the author of Perdurabo seems to have tracked her down as travelling to and from America with family, speculating that her 'suicide' was a 'joke' as was Crowley's when he left his 'suicide' note.

Suicide is never a joke, simply a cry for help, on perhaps both their parts.
