93!

Unfortunately not. It is a fascinating book, full of rare facsimiles with a lot of letters from her (as well as other participants in the Crowley/Pessoa affair), but no photo. On another note, I am trying to hunt down the French magazine "Détective" from May 2nd, 1929 dealing with the Pessoa/Crowley affair, because (among other reasons) it contains three unknown/rare photographs of AC. A nearly illegible facsimile of that magazine is in "Encontro Magick", I have uploaded the AC pics, in terrible quality. Anyone has hands on that one and is willing to sell/share?

OKontrair:
I don't know of any photographs of either HLJ or her work.

She was with Crowley in Portugal and Berlin in the early thirties. Although she is called an artist AC does not record her doing anything artistic in his diaries of the time. She never achieved any public notice and she died young apparently at her own hand. The German government of the time, or I should say a little later, were hostile to some artists as a matter of policy and then there was a significant war that was the occasion of much destruction.

I wish you every success but these are the sort of reasons why you may be having difficulties.

OK

There is AC's pencil drawing of her, of course:
