I will state once more I am a new student.
I have came across people saying the the book is known to summon things on its own?
Is it "safe"  ::)
I could not find this question previously posted. :o

I would say that "safe" is in this case a matter of perspective.

Generally speaking, I wouldn't recommend just hopping right to the Abramelin Operation without doing the ground work. Doing that may qualify as "unsafe".

I've had the book on my shelf for a little over a year now and have not read it yet because, as Azidonis pointed out, quite a lot of groundwork to lay down before attempting this. However, I'm sure I will read through it one of these days, long before ever attempting a performance. I don't hold much weight in the belief that the book holds power in itself(the physical book) and have not experienced any ill effects (that I am aware of) by having it on my shelf.

That said, I may grant some plausibility to the idea of a book containing some kind of power if it has been previously used in a ritual setting, but find it hard to believe a book produced from mass production/publishing would contain this same kind of energized power straight off the press.
