Dark doorway of the beast

So I don't post very often here, I'm more of a lurker. I had a question about this book though.

I've seen it for sale a few times recently, and in each case it sold right away for a fair sum of cash. I know that KG wrote the forward, and that it's a pretty sought after book. So my question is, how come no one has ever re-printed or reissued this book? I haven't found much info about the author, or contents of the book either, so I'm really curious. Has anyone ever read this?

I believe that several would-be publishers have considered a reprint, but the author's interests have moved on and he does not want the book reissued.

I've been waiting years to read it ITs very disappointing to think there's tonnes of knowledge in it I may never access..

Chris, If I may make the observation, you are too sad far too easily.

I own a copy of this book and knew its author, far too shortly; in fact I get an obscure reference among his acknowledgments.

The significance of the volume relates to its discussion of the 'tunnel effect', that slanting experience of consciousness that occurs when one truly transfers from the mode of 'ordinary' perception into one of an extraordinary reality. I must confess, being a child of the late 60s and early 70s, that my best and worst experience of this facility was due to psychedelic drugs: chucking oneself into the deepside, and the darkside (quite frankly the Tunnels of Set give an entire new realisation of the essence of so-called Qlippothic entity); a state of affairs of which Kenneth Grant did not particularly approve. Although he knew its effectiveness.

I believe that Frater Kyle is preparing an essay on 'The Sign of Protection' for the next issue of STARFIRE, and I anticipate that he will discuss these matters there.  If not, I'll get back to ya....

I'm also interested in this book and hope to see it reprinted one day.  I'd go for a used copy if I could get a breath in before its immediately snatched up.  No luck so far..
