Chemical Wedding Name Change

I note with some interest that the American release of Julian Doyle's Chemical Wedding will be under the title Crowley, which is presumably a better bet commercially:




"The Bruce Dickinson-scripted Crowley is coming to DVD courtesy of Anchor Bay on March 10th. This is the UK picture directed by Julian Doyle that was formerly known as Chemical Wedding. Simon Callow plays a Cambridge professor who becomes the reincarnation of Aleister Crowley. We'll update this spot when official DVD specs are announced." -- ShockTillYouDrop.com

American Marketers must want to keep alchemy out of movie titles: "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" was changed to "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" for U.S. distribution.
