I slept with faith and found a corpse in my arms on awakening; I drank and danced all night with doubt and found her a virgin in the morning.

I have received it last week, and till then it is my great listening pleasure. It is at the same time unbelievable humorous and serious. What I love the most is the fact that there is not “overweight seriousness” and “scary industrial rumblings” as in many offerings of untalented “gothic/satanic” bands. Here is just intelligence and heart that “understand”. I also have others recordings from it (“Visitor Guides: Your Passport to the Qliphoth“ and „A Drone For Young Joe Kennedy“, just for name few of it), which are also interesting, but this one is absolutely best.
It is nice piece of “hauntological music”, as they say in the Wire magazine. I recommended it by all of my heart.

I really enjoyed this magical album. I feel that the whole piece is very true and respectful to the work and person of Kenneth Grant.
Usually I am not a fan of electronic music however in this case I find a very strong an exception, here the tones do not grate at all but rather capture something of the starry heavens and stygian depths with underpin much of Kenneth Grant’s work . Interspaced with the music we hear snippets of dialogue from classic horror films such as “The Mummy” and quotations from Lovecraft and Hecate’s Fountain itself. Sometimes these words repeat creating a mantric channel for the eldritch energies invoked by these combinations. For this CD is an occult piece and does what many magical works do in that it creates a feeling of atmosphere. These are often the very same nostalgias caught by meditation on some of the concepts in the trilogies or reading Grants fiction late at night.
As a magical tool it invokes that more disquieting darker part of ourselves, perhaps pointing the way to how we can resolve and assimilate these parts. It is that spooky part of us which, when faced with something we ask whether we should proceed or retreat. But then the atmosphere changes and the more awe inspiring parts of the work come through the music and dialogue as alchemically the darkness of the (mummies) tomb becomes transmuted into the light of gnosis and resurrection into the heavens.
This is one to listen to in the dark. Download itunes 8, load up the album and start it playing using the visualizer and the spirits of the CD will manifest and cascade over the black suns thereby invoked. You wont regret it
