I have never grown out of the infantile belief that the universe was made for me to suck.

The members of Scarlet Woman Lodge, Ordo Templi Orientis will be hosting J Daniel Gunther, author of Initiation in the Aeon of the Child on "The Star: Messianism in the Aeon of the Child."

"Nor shall it be spoken in the markets that I am come who should come; but Thy coming shall be the one word."

According to the Zohar, the coming of Messiah would be heralded by a star rising out of the stars in the North. In traditional alchemy, the nigredo phase of the Work is said to end with starry aspect 'likened to the night sky which told shepherds and kings that a child was born in Bethlehem.' With the inception of the new Aeon, it becomes clear that the symbolism of the Messiah has undergone a transformation. The symbols of the fish and the lamb which were central in the Christian era have been superseded by the symbol of the Star, which has traditionally been associated with the Messiah. In this Aeon, The appearance of our Messiah was not intended to evoke exoteric worship of men or to be openly known as the anointed one.

His mission was to bring to Man the Word which would intoxicate the inmost, not the outermost. In J Daniel Gunther's talk, "The Star: Messianism in the Aeon of the Child," he will begin to postulate the purpose and function of the Messiah in this Aeon, and with extreme caution, unveil the identity of that Messiah."

Presented by the members of Scarlet Woman Lodge, Ordo Templi Orientis.
