I slept with faith and found a corpse in my arms on awakening; I drank and danced all night with doubt and found her a virgin in the morning.

Aleister Crowley’s Egypt
Paul Feazey - LAShTAL.COM
Magician Aleister Crowley (1875-1947), like many Edwardians, was enchanted by ancient Egypt, and felt a profound connection with it. The pyramids, the gods, and the magic all play an important role in Crowley’s system, Thelema. He travelled there numerous times, and it provided ongoing lifelong inspiration to him. Paul Feazey has travelled to many sites that featured in Crowley’s life, and brings back illustrations, anecdotes and analyses in a lively, personal illustrated slide lecture.
The speaker is owner and editor of what is probably the world’s leading website on Thelema, LAShTAL.COM.

Sounds like a fascinating talk. I expect slides with forensic analysis of patina, cracking, and discolouration of the Stele.

So proud of you,Paul. Wish I could be there. I have not yet been to Egypt, but it is of supreme importance to me. You should post details of the presentation if you can.

Just a word of thanks to the many of you that made it to yesterday's talk: the room was, as you no doubt noticed (!), full with 40 or so in the audience. I hope the talk didn't disappoint and I'm grateful to those of you that made a point of saying such kind things in the gathering afterwards. For me, it was a very enjoyable (though nerve-wracking) experience and I'm glad that Christina at Treadwells persuaded me to do it.
