the same item sold by Fulgur (item 12 on the link below) in March of this year?

If so the mark up is over 80 times the price! I'm staggered!

Whoops - I was a bit trigger happy with the keyboard there.
Of course I meant over 8 times the price.
Even so that frame must be very valiuable!

Paulus,
Just a reminder of the following extract from the Guidelines:
"You must not use the Forum to provide publicity for Auctions: posts relating to Auctions will be deleted except where they are intended solely for the raising of funds intended exclusively for LAShTAL.COM."
I have edited your post to remove the link. The thread remains unlocked as it raises some interesting questions.

Interesting indeed Paul.
As I have recently offered the piece at what I would regard as a fair market value, I won't comment on the price.
I can say that the theory of Spare using his blood to colour a drawing is highly imaginative, but unlikely. Discoloration of this type is usually due to 'foxing' - essentially the oxidisation of iron particles in paper. Of course, blood contains iron, but that's about as close as it gets...

One thing to name a price, quite another to achieve it.
As Bazelek says, a highly sanguine view of foxing. I have a 1952 sketchbook by Spare, one page of which is marred by what may or may not be blood; and if it is, it may or may not be Spare's. I'll start weaving my fantasy now, ahead of a putative sale.
