Post subject: Boleskine House & Cemetery

So I will be leaving Italy for a 10 trip across Scotland and obviously a visit to Loch Ness is in plan. Any website giving more precise indications to get to the premises? I know it is private property and what not, but I wouldn't mind seeing the place from close range and would like to take a stroll in the adjacent areas. Any pointers?

Also, any interesting occult bookshops to be found north of Hadrian's Wall?

Just a reminder, though, that it is now a private dwelling and it will do no-one any good to trouble the current residents.

I had read all of the accounts of people visiting Boleskine on the site, including Frater FS' account, I just wondered if there could be other info as well.
One of my estates in Sicily was at one point inhabited by a relatively famous sicilian author, so we get random people popping up every now and then. I know exactly how annoying this may be, I was just wanting to get close to the premise and take some pictures, without trespassing or troubling the current residents. Wink

If you take a bus to Inverness your easiest route would be to just grab a cab to Foyers, about a 10 minute drive. Boleskine is just before the small village but is invisible from the road so either keep an eye out on the shore side of the road for Boleskine cemetery or just ask your cabby to point it out, I'm sure they'll know where you're going.
Once again, don't expect to see much of the house without either being invited in or climbing the hill behind the house which would, once again, be trespassing (Technically speaking, as Scotland's private property laws are kind of strange and I do believe it's perfectly legal to walk through someone's land, at least it was some time ago) and the owners dogs will be quick to sniff out intruders.
As for occult Bookshops, I'd say that quite a bit of your everyday small bookstores seem to contain fairly good occult sections with lots of Gems you might not find elsewhere.
