Can anyone tell me anything about the origin of the Jack Parson [sic] Comic Star illustration. It is in the style of a 1960s US comic, but I presume that it must in fact be a "member's creation".

Sometimes just asking the question seems to be enough ......

Despite having no luck on previous searches, this time I found a link to a site that gives details of Gareth Branwyn's article in Make magazine #13and a link to an animated version of the picture!
