Every morning when I wake up, I experience an exquisite joy — the joy of being Salvador Dalí — and I ask myself in rapture, ‘What wonderful things this Salvador Dalí is going to accomplish today?’

Has anyone on the forum read any of ex-Caliphate member Allen Greenfields books? And what opinions do you have of his work?

Any info appreciated .

I've read all of them. I'm still withholding judgement on "Secret Cypher of the UFOnauts", but I'll admit that it was pretty interesting. The Compleat Rite of Memphis is not most people's cup of Hell-broth, but it's the most complete Rite of Memphis book commonly available, if 19th Century Blue Lodge Masonic Ritual is up your alley.

The rest of his works I'd reccomend unreservedly, although some of it is now out of print. The work he wrote of The Story Of The Hermetic Brotherhood Of Light deserves attention, especially if you're interested in Dr. Paschal Beverly Randolph. His Roots of Modern Magick: Glimpses of the Authentic Tradition from 1700-2000 is fascinating.

Much of his work is available through www.lulu.com, and you can usually find his out-of-print stuff at Amazon.com.

But, I'm biased: T. Allen Greenfield is a personal friend of mine, and his wife was my Minerval sister in 1988... T. Greenfield (he's *still* a Bishop by the way) was also my supervising Bishop for several years, and my V Degree initiator, so I'm a little prejudiced. I have great admiration for Allen, and wish that Atlanta weren't so damned far away.

While you're over at Lulu, check out Jonathan Sellers books as well. He & T. Greenfield hold each others works in high regard, and his first two volumes The Legacy of the GIFT and Qadosh: the Johannite Tradition will be of interest to every Illuminist, Crowley reader and O.T.O. Initiate (especially Qadosh, for O.T.O. initiates).

Being the publisher of a number of his books I can hardly be said to be unbiased so I'll just note that while all the Luxor titles are out of print, the Story of the Hermetic Brotherhood of light is still in print. The easiest place to get copies is Magus Books, they currently are handling distribution. www.magusbooks.com

I've included this link for a new book by Greenfield. Its Greenfield's experience of his "falling out" with the Caliphate OTO.

I've removed the link from hawthornrussell's post until such time as the legal status of the work is clarified. Members will doubtless understand my suspicions about a book that is described as "banned" and is being circulated by way of Torrent.

I'm of course happy to include the link again if the legal position is suitably clarified.

Just to note that if u actually email T Allen Greenfield he will mail you a pdf file of his most recent book.
Unfortunately i dont have his email address but he did announce that on a recent podcast from "Occult of Personality" that he would send it to those who requested it and also promoted the download via "The Pirate Bay" torrent site.
This was due to the book being pulled by his publishers for no apparent reason of than the C.O.T.O. objected to the contents.
So if someone can provide his email address i am sure that would be the best way to proceed.

Without getting into "trouble" legally, if any budding detectives out there are curious, if you look through the web address at the bottom i am sure you will find something interesting in the "magick" section... ( and the Christopher Hitchens photo is amusing as well..)

Thanks for the links 666TSAEB and hawthornrussell. I've always found Greenfields observations/opinions interesting but haven't read his latest.

It seems there is some question as to Greenfield's email address. Being that he is one of my best friends and I know him almost better than anyone else, I can say with confidence that if you email him at Link removed by moderator, he will be pretty prompt in replying. As an added suggestion, I recommend putting something in the subject indicating your request for information or a copy of his side of the story of his expulsion. He gets hundreds of emails a day, uses filters to diminish spam, and also does a considerable amount of business online, so being clear in the subject is your best method to getting a quick and thorough reply. Good luck.

Thanks jlcrow for providing the email address...
Just to note that T Allen Greenfield did also state in the interview that he would gladly accept donations for the files via paypal if one was willing or generous enough to part with the moolah. Smile

Firstly, thanks for the kind comments.

Second, as indicated, I am perfectly willing to send a download of this monograph that the chiefs of the order (alleged, so-called) seem not to want you to read to anyone who asks free fer nothin' in pdf format. Since I can't sell it, if one cares to make a donation, very modest or otherwise, there is a hyperlink to do so on the Assembly of Solomon web site at

Or go to this Eastern European server:

If there is any "legal" case to be made here (it has not), IMO, it would be for me to make for breach of contract and defamation of character.

Read and judge for yourself.

The issue of his last book was one of copyright. Greenfield published some private letters, and USGL was able to request the removal of the book from sale at some self-publishing sites such as lulu.com..

All copyright-infringing links removed from this thread by the moderator.

Just because members choose to hide behind an Eastern European server, this provides no protection whatsoever to LAShTAL.COM and I'm disappointed that those same members should consider it appropriate to subject LAShTAL.COM to potential legal action in doing so.

Take your squabbles elsewhere.
