"Cyril Connolly made the most acidly perceptive comment about Crowley, for example, when he described him as the man who bridged the gap between Oscar Wilde and Adolf Hitler."

Hello people,
just another introductory thread.
About me... well... I have been reading and experimenting with occult systems and eventually ended up on AC. Since then i have tried and tried to decipher his books and his personality but haven't even scratched the surface yet. I think he is perhaps the most infuential figure of the 20th century and the marker of a new Age. The creator, along with Ms Harris, of one of the most important occult works, but i do not trust him as a reader. Reading his books, in some he is as muddy as a swamp, although in others he is as clear as a flowing river. He has a tremendous sense of humour and enjoys mindfucking the reader. That's pretty much all i am sure of him and that is why i filter everything i read of him.
I do not consider myself a Thelemite in words, even though i might be concidered one in essence. I try to be detached from specific Belief Systems and at the same time embrace them all. I follow the path of the hermit, meaning i study and experiment alone without the aid of teachers or mentors which could explain the ignorance, misunderstandings and slow pace.
I'm just here to speed things up a bit
