"Cyril Connolly made the most acidly perceptive comment about Crowley, for example, when he described him as the man who bridged the gap between Oscar Wilde and Adolf Hitler."

THE ALBION O.T.O. PRESENTS – ON JULY THE TWELTH 2008:
THE SUPERMOOT! FEATURING:
GERALDINE BESKIN (Atlantis Bookshop)
“Crowley – another Man Behind the Mask”
Atlantis Bookshop has been in her family since
the original owner sold it over 50 years ago, and Geraldine has
become an expert on Crowley, concentrating
on him as a person rather than a mythical
figure. This talk contains entirely new material
not presented in her recent talks in London.
MOGG MORGAN (Mandrake of Oxford)
“Tantra Sadhana”
The man behind Mandrake of Oxford is
certainly not just an occult publisher. The
organiser of the Thelemic Symposia of the
1980s and 90s (now revived under new
management) Mogg is a practising occultist
with several books of his own under his
belt. This talk is based on his new book of the
same title.
ELIZABETH MADDISON (Albion OTO)
“Magic and Popular Culture”
Since her first encounters with the Occult,
Liz has specialised in the use of fictional
characters from popular culture as well
as the creation of new deities for the modern
world. In this highly controversial talk she
outlines methods and examples.
STEVE WILSON (Albion OTO)
“Reverse Time Magick”
Perpetual habitué and organiser of the London Occult scene,
Steve has seen it all and heard it all, usually at
the fortnightly moots he has chaired in London
since 1990. Here the author of Chaos Ritual looks
at the conundrum of magic that seems to depend
upon a result occurring before the relevant ritual
has actually taken place and outlines a simple
system for taking advantage of the phenomenon.

Just a quick update-
Thanks to our friends at Atlantis Bookshop, tickets for the Albion Supermoot can be reserved by phone or bought from the shop itself. Please ring 020 7405 2120 between 11 am and 6 pm Monday to Saturday.
Also, in case you didn't see the earlier announcement, Geraldine Beskin has had to pull out due to family commitments, so the first speaker - at 12 noon, July 12th at the Old King's Head off Borough High Street, SE1, will be Sandy Robertson, compiler/editor of The Aleister Crowley Scrapbook.

Oh my dear, no; I haven't "withdrawn from the fray" - I've merely sloughed off my "OTO skin" and gone on to higher callings - like Music (man) . You move from Hod to Tiphareth: the Artist/Fool is above the Magician.
Thanks to "RZK" for the best wishes for any new group that may spring up via the Brethren/IX' Current. For any others that may have thought similar; best wishes also, as apparently the previous thread is locked.
I would add that any tickets that might be left would be better acquired from Atlantis at this late stage.
See y'all at the Moot/gig.
Goddess Bless.

93 Rob,
All the best with your future endeavors beyond the OTO issue, whether public or private. After all, each of us has much to do.

Dear Rob,
93
I'd like to echo Camlion's good wishes, as would many here I'm sure. I'd also like to add my own thanks for the help you gave me over the last few years. A pity the final outcome wasn't different, of course, but a lot was learnt along the way which will prove useful in the months and years to come.

Best wishes,
Michael. |

Hello Camlion,
You're too kind, too kind. Public will be music - private is best left unsaid... But thank you.

Hello Mick,
Thank you; too kind also - I'm sure it is not echoed - or shouldn't be.
Any "help" I've given has only been highlighted by the beers quaffed inbetween - the important things in life.
So are you coming to the gig, man? - I'm sure you're far too busy; but if so the dress-code is "rock-chic" - so I see you in leathers and studs - which is a very disturbing image indeed.
See you soon,
In LVX,
Rob. |
