Every morning when I wake up, I experience an exquisite joy — the joy of being Salvador Dalí — and I ask myself in rapture, ‘What wonderful things this Salvador Dalí is going to accomplish today?’

On behalf of Arcania Online, I would like to invite all Mystics, Magicians, Metaphysicians and Magisters to examine
7x7 - The 49 Ashrams of the Great White Brotherhood
- The "Official" Directory of the White Lodge.

The Directory is non-partisan and intended to be amusing, entertaining and (who knows) you might even find something new.

If you have about 8 minutes to spare from your busy schedule, please attend at the following link:

Maybe the site just doesn't run properly on my Mac, but... What on earth does this have to do with Aleister Crowley?

Aleister Crowley (as Perdurabo, Baphomet, the Silent Watcher, the Magician, etc.) appears throughout the Directory. As I understand it, it can be sort of a trivial pursuit to count how many times he appears.

The Directory is apparently organized into 7 columns or rays. Column 1 is titled, "Do What thou Wilt." Column 2 is titled, "Love is the Law." These phrases, of course, are derived from a Book and a Philosophy that I believe are intimately associated with Mr. Crowley.

Column 7, "Ceremonial Magick," not only offers appearances by A.C., but presents most of the personas that were related to him in one way or another. I saw Mac & Moina Mathers, Karl Kellner, Theodore Reuss, Alan Bennett, Israel Regardie, plus the various symbols of several organizations that Crowley was affiliated with, the founder/leader of, or inspired by him.

I think the program runs on a Mac, but one does have to be alert to the rapidly changing images. After all, this is the "hi-velocity" version designed for quick viewing. It does, however, seem to take 7 minutes and 11 seconds no matter how fast one's computer is and how much one pounds the keyboard trying to get it to run faster.

There may be more references to Aleister Crowley in the program, but I have tried to list the high points. If there are not enough qualified references, then perhaps I made a mistake by bringing the link here for Thelemites and Crowley fans to see it. And, of course, you would then be justified in banishing it from lashtal as irrelevant.

To me it seems rather funny, was able to laugh with it, though I think, your are able to laugh with it you should do it in your spare time, it is interesting, philosophical - kind of way, though it is also time consuming, according to what is my view about it.

I have never encountered comments by A.C. about "R" and the "Ascended Masters."

Note: "R" is Racogzy, otherwise known as The Count of Saint Germaine.

It is known that he (A.C.) wished to "take over" or "inherit" the Theosophical Society and that he respected Mme Blavatsky, at least to a certain degree (8=3 to be exact).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in Blavatsky's day (and for many Theosophists who followed in the early 20th century), the Masters were known as Mahatmas. There is fairly strong evidence that Mme. Blavatsky "invented" Morya, Koot Hoomi, et al, but that they were based on actual, living beings in India.

On the other hand, there are entities or thought-forms associated with "R", "M", "KH", "Maitreya" (and even Djwhal Khul) that pack quite a punch if one invokes them, and especially if one opens up to transmission ("channeling") from them.

I believe the "Ascended Master" term was first applied (am I wrong?) and certainly promoted (I am not wrong!) by Mark and Elizabeth Claire Prophet of Summit Lighthouse fame. It is my impression that they (she) have the attributions of the Rays somewhat confused and crossed up and their (her) organization deals in some rather heavy-handed disciplines. But that is aside from the point we are pursuing.

Has anyone else come across any opinions by Crowley where he actually writes or comments on the Mahatmas? And spare us the "Greasy Swami" story, please.

I had to perform some technical trickery to grab the program and freeze the individual frames, but I found him 11 times. Some were duplicates of the same image, but placed in different settings - all in the 7th council (column) of Ceremonial Magick. I never would have spotted all of these without the freezing procedure. Eleven is a proper number, and rather impressive when compared to Jesus' appearance a mere 4 times (in the 6th council).

I believe you are correct and would have won the prize - if there were a prize.
