The common defect of all mystical systems previous to that of the Aeon whose Law is Thelema is that there has been no place for Laughter. But the sadness of the mournful Mother and the melancholy of the dying Man are swept in the limbo of the past by the confident smile of the immortal Child. And there is no Vision more critical in the career of the Adept of Horus than the Universal Joke.

Brand new to this forum, have been aware and interested in crowley for around 6 years now. I had a recent spark of interest again, and have started my reading again. Currenly reading Gems from the Equinox, but recently read Weisers concise guide to AC, also reading The Law is for all at the moment to get insight into the book of the law.
Just wanted to make a note on how haunting i find Crowley's voice. This is in a good kind of way. So powerful when is doing the incantations, strong and powerful yet stable, firm and controlled.
I do not have any current belief system however starting to adopt meditation into my daily practice as some of the everyday awareness rituals. keeping a daily diary on my meditations experiences too.

... you are referring to the 'recordings' (the enochian, in particular)?- I love those too. Welcome!

. . Right on. - Do not be intimidated by those here who love to argue. There have been hundreds of good discussions here over the years, without much of this. Some people like to argue, & others, want to progress without it . . .

P.S. - Usually every thread that enters past 100 posts or so means that there are some girls & boys who are going to argue until they get another thread to argue on endlessly. They like to argue about about the simple things; like 'What did you do today?'- Did you really do it?- that kind of thing-" Did you notify The Master?" It is kinda cute, actually. . .

that does sound cute, debate is always healthy i think because it forces both parties to really think about their thoughts, actions with some kind of validity.

I believe Crowley called down Chorenzon, both in Paris and the desert. Chorenzon is a particularly attractive entity to me! (in occult terms) Chorenzon being the gate between this universe and the next, and there are of course "many" universes. then no doubt there are similar Sentinels guarding Each-tree amidst the Abyssmal-garden (eden). I had a "vision" of Chorenzon whilst based for a month in Falklands. I was using a form of Lucid-dreaming and "fell into a sea of coloured particles" green and red hues, and then to the left top corner a green mist prevailed and from out of this mist did the beast show himself! A monstrous face which broke into this world for brief moments. I became drenched in sweat but "had captured" through the eye-channels a "light" from beyond! I am not one for being earthbound, that is material attitudes to life are not my scene. Marriage and children are like eating and digesting a bad piece of meat! I am living constantly between two worlds, without I may add any help from Narcotics which Aleister used in abundance! I find my Willpower does the ritual not drugs! Shugal-chorenzon to give him his correct name., surely must be known by those extra-terrestrials "outside"? What are your thoughts on the "Secret-Chiefs" crowley referred to? Do you consider them alien or human? Do what thou will shall be the whole of the Law. Blessings aiwass and aleister. Naasbite

I agree with this, arguement encourages debate it stimulates discussion. The question is; have we the courage and fortitude for the fight.

Welcome to LAShTAL, DTRH. This is a very diverse and well-run website, from which I have learnt a lot over the last five years.

Best wishes,

Michael.

I think it might be more important to question what, exactly, we are "fighting" for and what we'd like to see as the outcome of the contest.

Thanks to all the warm welcomes, Crowley and Thelema have become more and more fascinating the deeper i dig into it. For the media labelling him the world's wickedest man, he has a real positive philosophy and I believe has changed a lot of people lives for the better, whether they are a thelemite or not.

Greetings, Cara Frater / Soror,
I do tend to be a bit contentious, now and then.
But it is done (I hope) to stimulate debate (the current must not stultify).
And always under the maxim of the Law, which is Love.
And the Will to Love.
