Every morning when I wake up, I experience an exquisite joy — the joy of being Salvador Dalí — and I ask myself in rapture, ‘What wonderful things this Salvador Dalí is going to accomplish today?’

The Sacred Cord Meditations

The Sacred Cord Meditations by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki (Thoth Publications) is concerned with a new form of pathworking using customised mala/roseary beads. There are nine main chapters going through the creation of you own set of beads through to the pathworkings given for each bead.

But... The visualisations and images used would be more suited to a Christian with a taste for Egyptian and Atlantean sympathies. If you're expecting an explanation for the placing of the beads, you will have to work it out for yourself.

To me it felt like the book needed ... focused editing and more justification for the layout of the paths. It also felt like a personal tribute to W E Butler (Nowicki's mentor) more so than Nowicki's spiritual tastes.

Summary: A decent meditation/pathworking book for Christians with Egyptian tastes, but for Qabbalists and Thelemites you might feel the need to look else where. Needs better editing.
