Translator's Note

El Libro De La Ley

On the 10Th of August of 1987 in San Salvador, El Salvador, Central America I started to translate Liber Al vel Legis; " El Libro de La Ley " to Spanish. I think that I had the urge to do it very deep in my being before the 87, but when I came back for the first time to my beautiful El Salvador, and with the impossiblity to have all the books of the Great Order with me;and after I researched in vain all over Central America for translations of the works of Aleister Crowley. Finally, the idea to translate the Book of the Law filled up my whole being.

I meditated deeply in my Magickal mind & I realized that my Real Magickal Work to the service of the Great Order was to Translate the works of Aleister Crowley to the Spanish language.

The Great Work transformed my life totally from the day I found the writings of the Master Therion. I have been studying the Curriculum of the A.* A.*. since 1977, and I have in my posession almost all the books published by Frater Perdurabo. Therefore, I feel myself capable to understand and translate the message of Thelema; which has transformed me on a Multifacetic Artist, and advanced student of the Great Work.

It is my Obligation and Duty to our Sacred Order to expose the manuscripts of Perdurabo to the Spanish speaking people of the planet Earth. For me it is very difficult to write these lines. Because as we know the words are very difficult to interpret, and most of the time lead to confusion.

The Work has not been easy. Most of the Original work done on this Spanish translation of Liber AL was executed in the middle of the final years of a war that teared out my country for more than eleven years. The Original Manuscript was finished in the last battle of the war, under the final offensive of the FMLN. On the 11 year of the war, on the eleven of November 1989.
