The Cry of the 30th Æthyr which is Called TEX.

Class & Ritual Working

OPEN EVENT at Tahuti Lodge / OTO in the Valley of New York CIty

Presented by Frater Puck
Part I

Overview and Theory: LIBER XXX AERUM Vel Saecvli Svb Figvra CCCCXVIII Being of the Angels of the 30 Æthyrs: THE VISION AND THE VOICE by THE MASTER THERION

2:00 PM

Presentation of The Vision and the Voice (Liber 418) chronicling the mystical journey of Aleister Crowley (1875-1947)
as he explored the 30 Enochian Æthyrs originally developed by Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelly in the 16th Century. These visions took place at two times: in 1900 during his stay in Mexico, and later in 1909 in Algeria (along with his magical companion, Victor Neuburg). Of all his works, Crowley considered this book to be second in importance behind The Book of the Law, the text that established his religious and philosophical system of Thelema in 1904.

The Vision and the Voice is the source of many of the central spiritual doctrines of Thelema, especially in the visions of Babalon and her consort Chaos (the “All-Father”), as well as an account of how an individual ego might cross the Abyss, thereby assuming the title of “Master of the Temple” and taking a place in the City of the Pyramids under the Night of Pan.

Part II

Enochian Ritual Working: The Cry of the 30th Æthyr which is Called TEX

4:00 PM

“Exordium of the Equinox of the Gods.

“The first attempts to obtain these visions were made in 1900, in Mexico, where FRATER PERDURABO had journeyed in his efforts to obtain a perfect understanding of the mystic traditions and methods of attainment of every race and clime. The first two Aires were investigated on November 14 and 17, 1900. The Vision and the Voice was mysterious and terrific in character. But what he saw was not altogether beyond his previous experiences; what he heard was as unintelligible to him as William Blake to a 7th Day Adventist. He was encouraged by the evident importance of these results, but found that he was absolutely unable to proceed with the 28th Aethyr. It became evident, some 9 years later, that what stopped his further exploration of the Aethyrs in 1900 was simply that his Grade did not entitle him to go further than the 29th. In fact only a Master of the Temple, 8x = 3{square x}, can penetrate beyond a certain point, and further, as sections of the Comment point out, even a Master of the Temple cannot pierce through the veils surrounding the outer of these Aires.

A practicum of sorts, we will begin the work performed by the Master Therion. It is planned to continue the full set of Æthyrs this coming year since it will be the centennial for the majority of this Work.

Note: If you have a scrying implement (e.g., black mirror, crystal ball, etc.) feel free to bring this with you – although this is not mandatory.
