A self-styled magician, Kenneth Anger is one of the most distinctive artists in the cinema. We welcome him to introduce a special screening of Rabbit’s Moon (1950), his Commedia dell’Arte-style classic in which Pierrot tries to obtain the moon.

After the screening, we welcome Gary Lachman and Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard to discuss with Anger his influences and his legacy.

Tickets £9 (concs £6.65). On 25 May the BFI releases Magick Lantern Cycle, an extensive 3-disc collection on DVD and Blu-ray spanning over 30 years of mindblowing film-making from the legendary avant-garde artist. Blu-ray (3-disc set) £24.99; DVD (3-disc set) £22.99.
