August 2nd: Student Reading Group for Section 1 of the A.’.A.’. Curriculum
Rather than a formal class led by a certified COTNC instructor, this reading group will be a chance for all interested to share notes and study together. We’ll kick off the reading group with Liber DCCCXXXVII (The Law of Liberty or Book 837). Those of us present at the meeting will then select the next reading together. The first Section 1 Reading Group is on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Panera Bread (1115 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382).
August 15th: Magical Kabbalah
This will be the final session of this course. The topic for this month will be ritual construction. Any level of interest or skill is welcome. Please feel free to drop-in, even if you missed earlier sessions. We ask for a donation of $5 to help pay for the rental space. We will meet at 2:15 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the West Chester Wellness Center (828 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA 19380). Additional directions to this location are on the West Chester Wellness Center’s website (http://www.westchesterwellness.org/).
September 19th: Foundations of Mysticism
This course will include a detailed investigation of the practices outlined in Aleister Crowley’s Liber E vel Exercitiorum (Liber E). It will be experiential in nature, and will include information, tips and actual practice. The course is designed for practitioners who wish to develop a regimen of spiritual practices that includes postures, breathing and concentration exercises, and exercises that will help to develop intuition and increase self-knowledge. The class will be held on the third Saturday of each month from 2:00 to 3:30 pm starting Saturday, September 19, 2009 and ending Saturday, February 20, 2010. We will meet at the West Chester Wellness Center (828 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA 19380). Additional directions to this location are on the West Chester Wellness Center’s website (http://www.westchesterwellness.org/). We request a donation of $5-$10 to help pay for the rental space.
