Lecture by Phil Hine
TANTRIC PRACTICE
A Personal Overview
11 May (Tuesday), 7.30 pm
Treadwells Bookshop, London
Phil Hine is famed in the occult world as chaos magician and author. Less known, though, is the fact that he has been practising a form of hybridised tantra for over twenty years.
Tonight he presents a personal overview of contemporary Western Tantric practice. Looking at tantra’s structures and tenets, he reviews some of the common misconceptions that have grown up around this esoteric discipline.
In doing so, he presents some perspectives for attempting to discover “what” Tantra consists of.
The lecture followed by a round-table discussion, during which all are encourage to contribute. Ideas will be shared, as in a traditional ‘salon des idees’. Admission is £5.00. Arrive 7.15 for 7.30 start.
Phil Hine is the author of Condensed Chaos and Prime Chaos, and he also edited the monthly magazine Pagan News for five years. He has been off the scene for several years, and here makes a return to public speaking.
