[This was just part of a review of the first revised edition of the book.] Replacing the previous Symonds and Grant recession as the definitive edition of Crowley’s magnum opus, this work is a reissue of Book IV parts 1 (Yoga), 2 (Ritual Magick), 3 (Magick in Theory and Practice — magick and tantra placed in a Thelemic setting) and 4 (a commentary and notes on The Book of the Law). The production is excellent — save for the choice of an horrendously over-kerned typeface — and the quality of the editorial work unsurpassed and erudite. Edited by Hymenaeus Beta, the current head of Ordo Templi Orientis, the work is well supported by extensive notes, a useful bibliography, and a really excellent introduction.
