I suspect that I am not the only visitor to the LAShTAL site who was intrigued by the recent listing of an anonymous book on Aleister Crowley and the Golden Dawn on ABE. Well curiosity got the better of prudence and I ordered a copy. What arrived appeared to be a reasonably substantial production with glossy card covers, credited to Kessinger Publishing – although my copy was printed by Lightning Source UK Ltd. However a closer examination revealed that the text comprised just the 14 pp Chapter IX from The Trail of the Serpent by Christina Stoddart and that the bulk of the book was represented by two almost redundant pages and 28 completely blank pages! In my opinion the book is overpriced and would only be of interest to an obsessionally completist Crowley collector. Man of Wycombe
