Professor Ronald Hutton, University of Bristol.
Wicca and Druidry: two contemporary pagan groupings with many interlinkings through the twentieth century. How can they be contrasted, and what can be said about their respective histories? Ronald Hutton is a renowned historian whose seminal history of Wicca, Triumph of the Moon, is now being followed up with research on the history of modern druidry. This special Treadwell’s evening is an opportunity to hear him speak in an intimate environment, and to participate in the round-table discussion which follows. Wine reception follows. Numbers are limited, with reservations being taken now, by email or phone.
