I have not seen the documentary on Madame Blavatsky so am not in a position to comment, but I just finished watching the “Aleister Crowley: Beast 666” DVD and I recommend it strongly. It is mostly presented by Lon Milo DuQuette, Richard Kazsynski, and Marco Pasi. Lon and Richard do not need introduction to the Lashtal community and I believe that people here are also aware of professor Pasi, who otherwise teaches at the University of Amsterdam and who is the author of the academic monograph “Aleister Crowley and the Temptations of Politics” (in Italian and German; English edition is forthcoming). The principal value of the documentary lies in the fact that the story of Crowley is presented in a respectful and intelligent manner by people who know the subject very well. The writer and director of the project, Donna Zuckerbrot deserves praise for handling the sensitive material with great care and tact. Well done.
