I've always noticed a slight uncanny resemblance between Spare's "Alphabet of Desire" and the Enochian alphabet.

Any thoughts?

The Alphabet of Desire is actually a Grantism, Spare referred to them as Sacred Letters, or Sacred Alphabet. And yes, it seems he was inspired (either consciously or unconsciously) by Enochian script, although a literal comparison isn't really helpful in understanding what Spare intended.

Yeah I have noticed this also DNA.
I recall reading(letters maybe?) Spare saying he would take symbols from where ever he wished and would make them his own with meanings personal to himself etc.

Cheers.

Every picture in The Book of pleasure is a part of the whole, as a big jigsaw. The same goes for the letters in these illustrations, but they might have other purposes which I'm not aware of.
