Aleister Crowley is mentioned in the Fortean Times frequently, roughly once every two issues. One of the cartoonists for that magazine, Hunt Emerson, and his collaborator Kevin Jackson, has published a book called

LIVES OF THE GREAT OCCULTISTS

See https://largecow.com/products/lives-of-the-great-occultists for the publisher's description.

Over 40 Occultists in all, including Faust, Giordano Bruno, Strindberg, Isobel Gowdie, Kircher, William Blake, PL Travers, WB Yeats, Jack Parsons, and - repeatedly - Aleister Crowley. The comics are factual, and very funny.

It is essentially a reprint of those very good Phenomenonomix cartoons that appear at the back of FT. The book is A4 size and in full living and breathing color. £12.99 RRP.

The April 2023 of the Fortean Times (FT430) has another comic strip called Phenomenomix by Hunt Emerson.

This month's story is based on the legend of AC's holiday in Carn Cottage at Zennor in Cornwall, in 1938.
