For your New Year's reading LAShTALians...

An interesting six page illustrated article in the latest (January 2022, FT414) issue of FORTEAN TIMES magazine entitled "SPAWN OF THE BEAST: THE CHILDREN OF ALEISTER CROWLEY" researching the lives of TO MEGA THERION'S daughters with His first wife ROSE KELLY; namely NUIT MA HATHOR HECATE SAPPHO and LOLA ZAZA, and with His Scarlet Woman and mistress LEAH HIRSIG; namely ANNE LEAH (nicknamed POUPEE), and as a result of His ménage à trois with NINETTE SHUMWAY; namely ASTARTE LULU PANTHEA.

Also recounted is the life of THE MASTER THERION'S son with His 19 year old Cornish mistress DIERDRE PATRICIA DOHERTY; namely RANDALL GAIR DOHERTY (nicknamed ALEISTER ATATURK also known as COUNT CHARLES EDWARD D'ARQUIRES) who lived in the same street Chywoone Hill, Newlyn in Cornwall as my Mother and Yours Truly, where I grew up as a child many moons ago...

The claims of AMADO CROWLEY are examined as well as the conspiracy theories surrounding BARBARA BUSH.

Funny to see this, was almost going to post this genuine "Fortean" phenomenon (in the "would have been likely to have been of interest to Charles Hoy Fort, were he not dead" sense), but thought, "Eh, nah", but now, why not?:

'This isn't a joke': East Texas town experiences 'raining fish' phenomenon

this genuine "Fortean" phenomenon

"Reported rains of bats, fish, snakes, birds, frogs, and jellies stretch back for centuries."

But, really, please knock it off. West Texas is next to East New Mexico, and I don't want to be busy cleaning up dead fish.

This may also be considered an Omen of the End of The Age of Osiris. I therefore declare The Terminus of the Asarian Patriarchy and the Lie of the Ages. Starting tomorrow (only 3 hours here - already started in UK et EU), all men will be called Farters and all women known as Sitters. Mention will no longer be permitted regarding the resurrection, except in jest, and no dues need to be paid in advance ... or later. I guess that about sums it up.

Welcome to Horus '22 ...

Did another book pop off the fully packed shelf in the library!

Your post asks a question? but end in an exclam!

I will fill in the gap and tell a True Tale:At a somewhat advanced position, I became completely disenchanted with the Path and any progress that was [not] being made. So I dropped it. No ceremony, no more lectures, no magic, no suicide - just mundanism.

However, the "completely" part must have been incomplete, for one weekend I found myself in The Bodhi Tree bookstore in west L.A..  I was perusing the shelves, finding nothing, when all of a sudden an out of the blue miracle occurred ...

A book on an upper shelf popped up and fell to the floor at my feet.

So I am writing this writ in support of the Pop-up-and-off the Shelf phenomena.

Also: One day, Dr Freud was agitated. He looked from behind his desk at his student, Dr Jung, and yelled, "You must stop all this ... OCCULT ... stuff!"

Jung, being no weenie, responded by getting angry. He stood motionless before Freud's desk but, one by one, books started flying off of Freud's bookcases. First, one by one, then armfuls at a time.

Freud said in a shaken voice, "I don't know what you're doing ... but STOP IT RIGHT NOW!

(I can't remember the rest of the Tale, if there was even more. Jung obviously stopped at some point, and the two doktors continued to be at odds.

Anyway, the book that plopped ("crash - bang") at my feet was picked up. CHAOS MAGIC by Peter J. Carroll, it said. I bought it. Then I read it. It gave me no insights or practical practices, but it somehow jolted my aspiration back into gear. Immediately thereafter, I had a flurry of potential students asking questions and (more or less) demanding answers and participation. All female, by the way.

A few months later, I attended a lecture at the local G.D. Order, open to the publick, that featured Peter J. Carroll, himself. I spoke with him privately about a few things. He was imperious and condescending. Back in the lecture, he did an invocation/evocation of Baphomet, and he became contorted and spoke to us. I don't remember a word - probably because it was a faked possession (no change in energy occurred).

Then, because (he explained) he was permanently possessed and could not extricate himself from Baphomet's grip, his assistant girlfriend assistant slapped him ... repeatedly. Full side-swing open pal slaps, first on one cheek, then another. Hard - no kidding. After 10 to 12 of these open-handed haymakers, he shook his head and nodded. She stopped. He continued the lecture (after removing his black robe that he slipped on and off when demonstrating certain things.

[to be continued][below, not here]

-----------------------------------------

Now, Mister or Doktor HG, as the title may be, I have waited for you to make an appearance so that I might comment upon a ridiculous statement you made, about an annum or more ago.

You foolishly stated that the gov would be taking folks away to the "camps." Wherever did you get this foolish notion? The introduction of false "conspiracy theories" is either againt The Holy Guidelines or at least common sense.

How dare you? I would also like to announce that Australia has hauled folks off to their camps, and Washington State and New York have either announced "job openings" and camp construction plans, or the camps are already being built.

Your vindication is recognized and your Cert will be in the mail as soon as you pay your dues in advance.

-----------------------------------------

So, a couple years after the GD Carroll seminar, one of my students had hooked up with a local female teacher (name of Babalon). Well, Babalon and a few other newcomers got invited to one of my libationary ceremonies out there in Last Chance Canyon (in the heart of the Mojave desert).

Babalon had but on a LOT of weight, so I didn't recognize her. With some libation and a bit of chat, it turned out that she was Carroll's assistant. She had left his company and suggested why. It doesn't matter why. It matters that you (any reader) connect these dots (given above) and explain what took place.

Of course, Chaos Magic is symbolized by the 8-pointed do-dad, which means "connect here to the 8th circuit," so any rational explation will fail to Fit the Bill.

Synchronicity is ultimately interaction and communication between the microcosm and macrocosm

Back in the lecture, he did an invocation/evocation of Baphomet,  .

The Mass of Chaos B?  If it was preceded by an Enochian invocation it was probably that.

  (name of Babalon).

Lola Babalon?

Of course, Chaos Magic is symbolized by the 8-pointed do-dad, which means "connect here to the 8th circuit,"

It's the Symbol of Chaos from Michael Moorcock's novels. And Chaos Magick itself is associated with the planet Uranus and by extension with Daath.  At least one work mentions it connecting to Atu 23, a pathway between Yesod and Daath. Some have also linked it with the alchemical Black Sun.

Thanks....the dues are in the mail....the appreciation is welcome, though I would rather have been wrong, but the things are strange so thus real life stories of books flying of the shelf are in order.

Now it is interesting that my quip regarding something from one of our other dangling threads, the premier one of course, that ever dangling II. 76....though there are some who think it should be II. 75,....sorry it was not that thread where but the thread about the Typhonian book, where Ignant666 told us that his atheist father was a poltergeist of sorts...which I suppose is a reason why Ignant666 would reveal that he had never read any of Kenneth Grant's books which I find  hard   to  believe, but my suggestion is to either start at the beginning, though my introduction was to find that fare for free at the Philadelphia Free Library at the main stacks and there upon a mezzanine was Cults of the Shadow and Outside the Circles of Time...or perhaps never at all...

No chaos magic did not impress me, though the story of Mama Baba slapping Baby Looney said to be controlled by Baphomet, was quite unbelievable if it were not true, but I am glad that Babylon got free and found comfort in the deep dessert one night...so I do not know if I connected the right dots, but the fellows imperious and condescending attitude was perhaps the slap or rather slaps that he deserved....

and hard sounds like concussions....chaos alright...

Babalon?

Yeah. I'm trying to follow my rule of not naming living persons (too) openly. And usually never by their legal, civil name ... unless they've already disclosed it themselves.

... the alchemical Black Sun.

This could/should be a (black) hole new thread. I have ended up with this [symbol] in several of my books.

Posted by: @hadgigegenraum

Ignant666 would reveal that he had never read any of Kenneth Grant's books which I find  hard   to  believe

I place my hand upon The Holy Liber 333 and testify ... that Ignant666, in corporeal person, stood in my back yard and recited images from Grant's books. The context, the opinion, or the result are of no consequence. Now whether he read any whole entire book has not been revealed to me. I, myself, have been known to read just a bit of a book and throw it in the trash - So who knows what a 666 will do? Perhaps he will recover one more time from the Newe Yeare Festival and enlighten us.

Oh, it were very true. But, you see, I did not sense the manifestation of anything, and I did get the sesation of theatrics. "Dramatic Ritual - Abbreviated, appearing rushed" would be my professional opinion.

I am glad that Babylon got free and found comfort in the deep dessert one night

It's Babalon, not Babylon - this lady is a Thelemite - out there on her own, doing the lecture circuit, mainly in the bookstore lecture rooms of Ventura Blvd.  Well, that was about 17 years ago (tempus fugit).

I have described some phenomena in my books but ... Here we were, Myself, Kali, Maat, a couple of first-time students, and the Scarlet Woman, herself. Something was dne with some kind of acid, followed by a banishing and the Invocation of Thoth - after we felt funny for some reason. Then we sat back to see what the show would be that night.

Good Grief and the forty-seven dwarfs! Roaring engines and Flashing Red Lights? Oh yeah, roaring out of the desert with a fucking siren! Nothing like a lot of flashy action to get the show started.

Two dune buggies (with bright headlights and flashing red-go-rounds above the crash bars braked to a dusty halt at our camp - they must have seen our campfire. The fellow I spoke to had a uniform and a badge. He could have been a Shire-Reeve, but he was probably a Ranger (we were in a State or National Monument). I didn't catch the writing on his badge. He assured himself, three times, that we were safe and cozy, then jumped in his buggy and hit the gas.

The two buggies raced off into the night, further down the (very dangerous) canyon where a helicopter had appeared with a searchlight and was circling aimlessly. A few minutes later, al sound and noise ceased completely for the duration of the night.

You may chose to offer an explanation. It doesn't matter. It was either a criminal on the run or an accident ... probably the latter. Or it could have just been one of those realistic astral visions.

You said something about comfort in the deep dessert one night ?

Note: Nobody was disturbed or anxious, so your set/setting may be applied as valid.

This could/should be a (black) hole new thread. I have ended up with this [symbol] in several of my books.

There's a stream of LHP thought based around the word Pandemonium that uses the black sun as its primary symbol.

I respect chaos magick itself, the principles are sound, but I think too many people who call themselves chaos magicians do not apply those principles, and a lot of them even seem wholly ignorant of even the history of chaos magick.   Certainly few of them seem to have even worked with the IOT's Liber MMM.

But in this case, it sounds like even Pope Pete himself sometimes applies "fake it till you make it" a little too much.

I don't doubt the effectiveness of the Mass of Chaos B itself, though, I've participated in variations of it that were done effectively before, though also at least one that I was am so sure of too.

How long did you take a 'Break' for?

I too can support the book popping off the shelf by itself phenomenon, in um support of starting my spiritual path!

It was in Boulder Public Library circa 2001 or so.  I had stopped being interested in God and gnomes and magical nature when I was 12 or so and was fully in mundania as a teenager interested in drums and booze and girls only.

I was randomly perusing the nonfiction area in pursuit of 'weird' books, like UFO's, ghosts etc and passing through the Religion section.  Dewey Decimal area 100/200!  I stopped to read some spines and BAM a book fell on my head. I shook my head left and right, looked in the hole, nobody there, went around the back. No one there either.  OK.

It was 'The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna' and got me started on being into spiritual development.  Went from Hinduism, to Daoism, to Typhonian thought, to Thelema.

It was a good book!  I still own a copy of my own.  I see the library doesn't have a hard copy anymore. Maybe it wandered off.

@falcon Fortean Times is an entertaining magazine.

When I worked at a news and smoke shop I would often read a copy of it.

Are you able to scan the article in question for anyone?

Oh, it was just a Rip VanWinkle snooze between Aeons. But there is the context and also the conditions.

At no point have I abandoned the Path, saying, "This is all a bunch of crap!" I have seen others take this position. There was a stretch of a year (1988, more or less) wherein I had given up the thought of teaching or guiding anyone. Only a few months before, I had organized the Harmonic Convergence ceremony (1987) with a small teamof assistants and a large turnout from the public. The Harmonic Evidence ("proof") is slid in here ...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYmbulVWIlE

But then in early '88, the current had dissipated, the public had retreated into their homes, the assistants had formed new links, and I was left alone to undertake a major (vocational-professional) project on the physical plane. During this time, I did the minimal banishings and invocations, but there were no more ceremonies or meetings.

The Force(s) took this opportunity to introduce me to Tibetan empowerments. Yeah, for a year, I was a student again, having no inclination to teach anybody anything. Of course, one of my duties was to teach Oriental Medicine to paying students entering a licensed profession, so I was teaching nonetheless, and this was the downfall of the dreaded doldrum domain.

Early in '88, I was teaching a course that introduced the concept of Shen ("Spirit" or "Consciousness"). I slipped over into a somewhat deeper review of consciousness than the simple, introductory definitions offered by the heathen Chinese. Well, it's not their fault - the CCP took over Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and flushed out all the esoteric stuff. Anyway, within a couple weeks, I had three students knocking on my door for esoteric info (all female). One flunked her probation by trying to control the flow, and she dropped out. One took the trip up to 5=6, over a few years, and now has her own Ashram. The third one? Oh, we're married.

I have not read the article - however (By way of penance) - for those who think it would have been better if the sire had never lived - one of his grandsons - Eric Mulher - a jazz musician - is alive and well - and he has even posted on the board

https://www.lashtal.com/forums/events/eric-muhler-the-jury-is-out/

https://www.linkedin.com/in/ericmuhler

On a side note - due to a complaint - I have ditched the Snowman name and title - and temporarily taken the Egyptian hieroglyph Shen 𓍶 as a nom de plume - and the hieroglyph 𓂀 - as title

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shen_ring

Yes, the PM lavatory became clogged with spam messages brought by robots and robbers ... mainly for Viagra(TM) and Russian Brides. The whole PM system was euthanized. Many people complained. Life is rough ... and then you die. So it's always best to list the email box if you want to get off-site communication. Of course, you know all this now, except maybe why it disappeared.

The claims of AMADO CROWLEY are examined as well as the conspiracy theories surrounding BARBARA BUSH.

I hope the Foretean Times didn't fan the flames with the Barbara Bush is Aleister Crowley's daughter crap. That was an April Fool's joke clearly refuted by Lashtal:

https://www.lashtal.com/forums/biography/barbara-bush-and-aleister-crowley/

"I'm adding this link in an attempt to put to rest the ridiculous (but witty) April Fools joke/hoax that indicates a familial relationship between George Bush and Aleister Crowley..."

...and more recently Rueters:

https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-betty-conspiracy/fact-check-conspiracy-theories-appear-about-actress-betty-white-following-her-death-idUSL1N2TT2DE

Auto computer robots (Google and others) scan websites and servers daily and pull private/public information. If you post an actual email address on any public forum or website...These "bots" will grab it and add the email to sales/spam/marketing lists and you will receive loads of junk email.

One way to disguise an email so only humans can grab it is by spelling it out phonetically:

me (at) paultoner.com

i think this still works relatively well.

https://askleo.com/why_shouldnt_i_post_my_email_address_in_a_public_forum/

another way to do it if u own your own website is to create a few junk email addresses for posting on public websites:

lasthalstuff2022 (at) pt.com

lasthalstuff2023 (at) pt.com

etc

tempemails2022 (at) pt.com

tempemails2023 (at) pt.com

etc

When u receive the email you are waiting for you can share your real email address with your forum friend. If you start receiving spam and junk on one of the temp email addys you can simply delete the temporary email in your email server so that all emails to that address will now be rejected. This also allows you to know where the spam has originated from.

If you give out your main "one and only" email address enough times there is no way to permanently block all spam funnels without shutting out the emails you want.

Yes, I have heard about this, so I try to be careful. There are ways of disguising this, like: (xxx(dot)com - or - xxx(at)xxx(dot)com.

But I have a specific e-address that I have regularly posted here, without disgises. It's a gmail thingy. Over about 5 years, I have not been bombarded with junk mail.

On the other hand, I do all "buying business" at a more secret e-address (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Swanson mostly). This is like flying a red banner. The disgusting creeps at such big-name places seem to sell or use addresses like Kleenex(TM).

So my openly procaimed address remains safe, while my protected address gets bombarded. Based on this ridiculous scenario, I have decided that "Resistance is futile," and I am just living with it, for now.

My "main" hideout has the usual spam/junk folder, plus a Direct Blocker. I can keep them at bay fairly well. But you are right (or was it left?), no "blanket" format seems to exist. One just needs to route all "unrecognized" incoming addresses into "Junk," and then "Select All" from time to time, and hit the "Delete." This "blanket" will also delete messages that might not be spam, so it helps to scan EACH one first.

This is all disgusting. I once went to the P.O. and asked them to stop all ads to my mailbox. I was told, "No way."  So I said, rent me a PO Box. They did. I stopped ALL mail to my mailbox and had everything sent to the PO Box. This worked fairly well. Some crap leaked in.

This thread is about Crowley's kids in the Forteen Tymes. If anybody read it, please give examples of truth or fiction.

yes that is correct...replace both (at) and (dot) this helps avoid the bots

use myemail(at)mywebsite(dot)com

gmail does a pretty good job of filtering spam...some goes to your spam folder...other stuff gets rejected completely...but u still may get emails u dont want from unwanted folks

you can also create a new sub/temp emails in google and some of the better providers:

How To Create A Temporary Email Address

https://www.alphr.com/temporary-email-address/

How to Create a Disposable Email Address with Gmail

https://www.labnol.org/internet/disposable-email-address/28072/

...or if u own a website u can do in your email server...u create a new email for each online store or website or forum:

amazon (at) mywebsite

ebay (at) mywebsite

etc

then its ez to see who is selling your email...

the two email addresses where i get the most unwanted spam?

magick (at) mywebsite (dot) com

crypto (at) mywebsite (dot) com

seems the crypto and magick folks are both scammy selling my email addy or getting hacked or making customers money and other things disappear...poof!

..got to close down those funnels soon.

did Amado Crowley ever prove himself to be Aleister Crowley's son?

I seem to remember his lineage was inconclusive...or unverified.

I don't think it wad ever verified scientifically.  It seems highly unlikely, especially given how dedicated Crowley was to his diaries yet none of the stories Amado claimed of their time together are even alluded to.

And givem how Amado's knowledge of Crowley's ideas seems little better than that of a noob who's read a couple of Wikipedia articles.  Amado's claim that all of Crowley's public writings were a massive smokescreen to cover the Book ig Desolation seems unlikely too.

That said, I really want to find contact information for Jason Brett Serle, the only other person said to have seen the Book of Desolation.

There was a long thread about Amado's ridiculous claims, with contributions from several of his former disciples. Might be some leads for you there. Or not, since he was a great big liar.

did Amado Crowley ever prove himself to be Aleister Crowley's son? I seem to remember his lineage was inconclusive...or unverified.

Not that I heard of. If he "proved" it, then I would imagine there would be more action (fame, infamy) in the media.

There was a long thread about Amado's ridiculous claims, with contributions from several of his former disciples.

I found a couple of threads while I was going through the archives when I joined
