Kim Nelson involved in landmark exhibition ‘Windows to the Sacred’

Yass Valley artist Kim Nelson is part of a landmark exhibition ‘Windows to the Sacred’ which began in Perth in 2013 and is touring nationally through to 2016.  It opened at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery in Victoria on the May 16.

The exhibition seeks to explore the sacred and spiritual, the mystical, magical and supernatural in art, ranging from historic works by occultists Aleister Crowley and Rosalee Norton through to the iconic Australian surrealist painter, the late James Gleeson.

There is photography by renowned filmmaker Alex Proyas (of 'Dark City' & ‘The Crow' fame) and indigenous artist Danie Mellor who recently featured in the 'Australia' exhibition in London.  Rock star musician Jeff Martin of the Canadian band 'The Tea Party' has created a ‘soundscape’ for the exhibition.
