My Psychedelic Love Story

Joanna Harcourt-Smith is Morris’s subject, a psychedelic activist, socialite, and writer from Paris who counts Keith Richards, Diane von Furstenberg, and Andy Warhol as close acquaintances. She also happened to be the partner of Timothy Leary, renowned Harvard psychologist, philosopher, proponent of psychedelic drugs, self-proclaimed reincarnation of occultist Aleister Crowley, and alleged visionary prophet labeled the High Priest of LSD (“the man responsible for America’s LSD crisis”).

All this is true
I swear to you
and Tiger Too.

But he ne'r "claimed" to be the reincar
merely that he was "carryoing on"
"certain aspects" of "Aleister Crowley's work,"
which is not a Tulku, no way, Jos-ay.

I think I got that al kerreckt.
Compliment Complain if I missed something.

The press continues to misquote Leary no one bothers to check or source the man's actual words.

Here is Leary speaking of his role in Crowley's legacy:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaVeGZE6VU8

The video isn't great but informs us a bit of Leary's thinking.

LSD was God in pill form.

Good marketing for a Christian society coming out of the 50's.

The new drug at the time

Mothers Little Helper

Holy Communion

Placed on the tongue.

Holy sacrament

A practical joke?

Named after Aleister?

Alice Dear?

Aleister?

MST=Hint Leary Is An Emcee

The documentary looks interesting.

This woman also wrote a book.

The doco is based on her book.

Huh? Did I mention some thing about Crowley being "all LSD?" I certainly do not believe such a thing. Please withdraw your implied complaint from the implied Inquisition.

Although it was theoretically available from Albert Hoffman about three years before 1947 (his last), Albert wasn't putting it on the market. No, AC was a Man of the Mescaline Medicine. And he certainly wasn't "all about" Peyote. He became "all about" heroin, the older he became. Heck, the stuff was OTC when they started him on it. As he grew older, laws and written prescriptions closed in. A doctor was required. At the end, the Doctor became Atu XIII.

AC was not "all" heroin when he had a supply. He only became "all heroin" when he ran out and those ungrateful idiots in sunny California won't send money. Stupid Morons! Send Money!

(I mimimic the many letters posted toward the end of The Unknown God)

There's a difference between high German and Low German, between Mexican Spanish and Castilillan [sic] Spaning. Mandarin in High Chinese and Cantonese is gutter lingo. (AC used the Cantonese dialect in his writing). All us older members of the one true invisible order that has no known person in charge know what the Tao is. TAO = 9+1+70 = 80. Says so in Liber L. But today, it's politically correct to only write or say "Dao." All this based on a New-Age lingo imposed by the heathen Chinese Communist Party, wherein the softer Mandarin is the national language, and they spell it for us Anguishers in a neat script called PinYin.

I had to learn PinYin in Oriental Medical School. My very first course. Taught by an M.D. from Taiwan, who was both a Licensed Acupuncturist and spoke fluent English, with strong accentism. The course was "Chinese Medical Terminology." It almost broke my spirit. I summoned full dharana mode. I listened to Chinese Kung Fu movies in the background. I sorted this gooblede-gook by assignments to the Tree of Life. Hours. Then repeat. Do it twice for the two exams.

I got an "A." My spirit was not quelled.

Anyway, Micro, don't look upon this as a criticism. I am mere pointing out how you took the Mandarin high road, and I countered with the gutter lingo of the southern Canton hellhole.
