The bohemian and mystic life of Betty May

"May, along with Aleister Crowley and Frieda, Lady Harris, is the subject of a new book which combines biography with astrology."

Having seen the photo that accompanied the article, I had one of those "eureka" moments when I knew I had read about Betty May Loveday before.  It was in a newspaper archive from the Library of Congress.  A full-page article about Aleister Crowley entitled:  Hounding the King of the Devil Cults Around the Globe. With a rather sexy picture of Betty May Loveday featured in a very tabloid press style.  If anyone is interested in reading the article, it is in the New Britain herald, May 9,1928, page 19.

This is called a break, and you're supposed to make a mark in your Record, slash a gaping cut on your four-arm with your magickal razor or samurai sword, or at least admit to instability.

Yes, most (all?) of us know and understand your capacity. This very well may come in handy some day. You will, of course, remain on standby call for the benefit of humanity for the remainder of your life. Well, at least the benefit of those who believe Aleister Crowley actually existed.

Let me give you an example: While dissecting the Cairo-era diary of AC, Timetables for the sailings of the chug-boats Isis and Osiris were fished up out of the etheric akashic web. They showed that either AC lied (as RTC wishes) or AC got the boats confused, because a boat did sail (chug) as AC wrote, but the neme was switched in his diary.

Should mysteries of this nature arise, and they need occult scrutiny in greater depth, I believe you are the man to consult.

Betty May was a hippie ... before the word hippie was invented.

e-in-cheek

I can't tell if you are being tongue-in-cheek or not.  But I imagine the answer might be found in The Confessions.  Since I am retired, I do a lot of artwork (My second passion) But my first is looking up obscure (or mostly obscure) tidbits of information.   I'll get back to you.

Actually, you were put "on call" in case an obscurity came up. There is no need to get back to me on the Isis-Osiris thing, that was settled as an error or a lie (which?)

Say, it looks like your post was interrupted by a cosmic ray - all chopped up. Yes, I was/am serious. You just hang around a bit and, sure enough, an obscurity like sailing times or the owner of Cefalu, or maybe the height of K2.

@shiva Those are all fairly easy to answer.  You don't need me to find out.  K-2 is 28,251 feet.

I have been citing examples which are "examples," not actual simple but obscure requests.

If anybody comes up with any obscurity relating to the how, where, when, why, if, but, or who - in relation to AC - I hope they think of you first ... rather than, say, RTC.

I hope they do not think of me.

Let me ask you this: In your extensive run as a Liber Aryan, have you encountered any/some/much evidence that somebody has purposely twisted, spun, or tried to hide certain (any) historical happenings?

Hint: In arcane occult literature terms, such a manipulation is known as a blind. It obscures or re-routes a "true" thing ... so that the unwashed, unbabtized, and un-initiated masses don't discover it and use it to better themselves or try to kill you.

This is ridiculous, of course. If one has a secret, then they should keep the orum zipped and the pen holstered ... either that, or one should say what they have to say - without blind-siding the audience or the readers.

Well, yeah sure.  Especially books and articles about AleisterCrowley which abound with half-truths, out right lies, and libel.  Especially the book, The Magical Delimma of Victor Neuburg by Jean Overton Fuller, which despite being very biased against AC, still has interesting tidbits.  Is that what you are driving at?  As far as non-occult literature is concerned, the media and news are actively purposely twisting, spinning, or trying to hide certain historical happenings.  Every war the U.S. has been involved in is a Boondoggle.
