The Curse of Headley Grange
I ran across a quote by Peter Gabriel on a website devoted to analyzing the Genesis album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway that refers indirectly to Crowley's Magick.
"The Lamb" as it's affectionately referred to by Genesis fans, was written at Headley Grange, where Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, Pretty Things and other rock bands had lived during their songwriting process. Gabriel is quoted from an interview in Hugh Fielder's The Book Of Genesis "We were working at Headley Grange which I felt was partly haunted by Jimmy Page's black magic experiments..."
The web page is here:
"The Lamb" was the last album with Genesis's original lineup. Gabriel went on to a successful solo career, the remaining members of Genesis went on to mega-stardom in the pop-rock genre, and Phil Collins went even bigger with his own brand of schmaltz-pop.
Does anyone know what Led Zep album or albums were written at Headley Grange?
Most of the fourth album and large parts of Physical Graffiti. A few other tracks were released later here and there.
Looks like there was spooky goings-on, long before Jimmy Page checked in there 👿
