Henrik Bogdan is producing across several volumes the Collected Works of Achad, and I'm delighted to say that these volumes will be published by Starfire Publishing. The first volume, the Major Works (QBL, The Egyptian Revival, and The Anatomy of the Body of God, in case anybody has just beamed down from another planet) is planned for publication later this year, in Autumn. The Major Works will be introduced, edited and footnoted by Henrik; they will also be Indexed, something regrettably missing from the original publications. More news of this exciting and ambitious work will be announced as the book progresses through the various stages of preparation.

Further volumes in this series will comprise the Minor Works and Selected Correspondence.

I look forward to this with cold sweaty hands.  Hmmm is that normal?

Excited nonetheless.  I have his Body of God from Weiser. It's quite impressive work.

Anyone hear about him getting naked in public and getting busted for it?

It's a story that's been around for a while. Haven't seen any evidence for it, though. Not that it has much to do with Henrik Bogdan's edited Collected Works.

As Shiva confirmed, yes he did enter the Roman Catholic Church. I have seem a holograph letter, written in the late 1920s from England, from Achad's then mentor and Mahaguru in the Universal Brotherhood, advising him to become a Catholic. From the wording of the letter, I had the impression that this was something which Achad had been considering. He did go ahead and do it, and talked about it in one or two of the letters to Yorke included in The Incoming of the Aeon of Maat.

Ah so maybe from the voids of space a lightening sword was drawn to rouse Heka and Shi Ho in the heart of the wastelands and a desolate place.

Or did he enter in order to abet the vicarious atonement ?

Who knows or - quite frankly - dares to dream?

Hi,

Is there anything in the forthcoming works regarding the missing keys that complete his work regarding the gematria 31. The work is known to be incomplete, and given both he and Crowley were conversant with traditional Hebrew gematria, some omissions seem interesting.
Thankyou.

MA

I don't know the answer to this. Certainly it won't be in the first two volumes - the Major and the Minor published works respectively - but might appear thereafter. I'll find out for you and respond again when I know the answer.

Where have you come across reference to missing keys? The 1936 correspondence between Crowley and Achad was prompted by Crowley wanting to give some account, in The Equinox of the Gods, to Achad's discovery of AL as the key to The Book of the Law, but there is nothing in this correspondence about missing keys. So I would be very interested in any references to or suggestions of these missing keys.

One of the problems in presenting Achad's work is the repeated dispersal of his papers after his death. His successor as Mahaguru of the Universal Brotherhood, John P. Kowal, collected as much as he could. This collection was, I think, passed on to his successor as Mahaguru, Frederick Kayser. Unfortunately, when Kayser died, there was no-one to pass it on to, and it became hopelessly dispersed.

Anyway, watch this space, as they say

Thankyou for your kind response to my query. Regarding missing keys, this comes from some papers, I managed to view whilst in Tzfat. They were in Hebrew, as was the discussion regarding them with the Chassidim. This, I realize may not be pertinent to your interests. I don’t have much, nor am I qualified in this area, but if you are interested I can email you regarding one or two things that might be useful, that I remember clearly and has answered some of the questions I had at the time.

This is exciting and I look forward to purchasing after the corona calms down, I'll set some money aside.
