I am new - PufPuf93
This is my 2nd post. Have surfed lashtal for years but just joined and have been reading the archives.
I have a good to very good occult library: Crowley, Grant, Spare, Regardie, Fortune, Chumpley (2 books) et al.
I was an "Associate" of the OTO when the Magickal Link(?) was mailed.
Have attended three OTO gnostic masses but not since 2002 (2 Rockridge area and one San Jose).
Almost went to a Portland, OR OTO Rite of Mercury in 2002, but instead was arrested for the only time in my 60 years (and released without charge). I was in possession of two extremely rowdy intoxicated women (who drank while I browsed Powell's) and a CA plate on 2nd Street, Friday night around 7 PM. We met folks to find the location earleir in the day but then didn't attend because of the incident with Portland PD.
I had met Del Campo on the internet in late 1990s and purchased OTO pamphlets and but first became aware of OTO while getting BS and Masters at Cal Berkeley in 70s and 80s. PK Dick and RAW in high school got me reading Crowley. Sixty some odd books I bought in a lot of alt.magick in late 1990s greatly greatly expanded my world.
I had worked in an office on Pioneer Square in Portland from 1987 to 1992 and lived in Corvallis 1994 to 1999 and neither of the women had ever been in Portland before. I went to jail for two hours, Jeep was impoundeded, and no Rites of Mercury.
I am humbled by the knowledge at this site.
Welcome aboard, sounds you got some good stories to tell.
Welcome to LAShTAL, PufPuf93.
My wife and I were in Portland for a few days last September, en route for the book conference in Seattle. Our first time in Portland, but it won't be the last: interesting place. We spent a few happy hours browsing in Powells; great bookshop.
Welcome to LAShTAL.COM, PufPuf93! 🙂
Having successfully circumnavigated the whirlpool without getting sucked in, congradulations are in order.
With sincerest best wishes and congradulations...remain free!
Thank you for the welcomes.
