Some sections aren't showing and user avatars are not showing either. Might take a while to repopulate or something. I will delete and try logging in again, see if that helps.

I agree that the site is a lot slower now and I have top speed here at work. Usually I use Firefox, but just checked with Safari and it was much faster. Maybe there is the "one fastest browser" to use? eol? Paul?
I still like it and I am sure people get used to it and start posting again at "normal" intervals. And interesting to see that apparently there are a lot more sign-ups...

If need be it should be possible to add caching to the site.
I will try with caching though I think that some JavaScript code may make some things a bit slower - I will do some tests next week and find out which portions of code are being executed slowly.
