Hi!

I want to know your opinion on zje Abyss and its 'Crossing' whatever this means.

From my theoretical understanding there's a 'gap' between the upper 3 primal sephiroth and the more material ones below where the frequencues/vibrations are lowered. Seen from Malkuth the vibrations of Chesed are indeed breathtakingly high, but from Binah its a fall from Grace.

Or so I gather.

There is not much information aboit this except if course from Crowley.

Bardon warns in IIH that Saturn's energies are dark and depressing. But I feel this is only on the 'outside' as the internal Saturn energies are 'leaping laughter', freakishly ecstatic, hence Saturnalia, Sabbats and the like.

I am interested in your opinion on this since I can feel the gravitational pull of Binah like such a giant magnet.

Please enloghten me. Thanks a lot!

When meditating on this subject I always get "Love is the answer". What do you think of this?

Well crossing the abyss can mean different things, depending on which paradigm about reality you are in.

If one holds a "non-dual" view of reality, in which that everything that exists is mind and is in mind, crossing the abyss is the healing of the separation of opposites or dualities in our minds at a critical level, where we believe there is a 'real' separation between each of us or between us and the divine, which there is not.

This "abyss", like everything else, is created in the mind by dualistic thinking, black or white, self or other.

Healing the separation is....

exactly it.

Love is the union of opposites.

The abyss is the great divide between the opposites of the microcosm and the macrocosm, the union of which is the communion between the microcosm and the macrocosm, or seeing that every phenomenon in our perception is a dialogue between macro and micro, everything is communicating this union and truth.

But I feel this is only on the 'outside' as the internal Saturn energies are 'leaping laughter', freakishly ecstatic, hence Saturnalia, Sabbats and the like.

This is indeed true, but only after one has healed the separation and "surrenders" the will of the microcosm into the will of the macrocosm.

Indeed, sometimes after a great fall into the abyss, one discovers a feather bed and a plate of watermelon slices 🙂

This is correct. It is a "gap in consciousness," one that is sometimes called a "veil."

Right.

Well, okay ... but anything said by anyone will turn out to be confusing. It's the nature of the paradox.

I would be happy to post "Crossing the Abyss," which is an Appendix in The Hot Zones of Anicca. Just say you'd like to see it and I will make it appear.

Otherwise, I'll say no more  there's no need to get paradoxical while trying to explain the unexplainable.

Bardon warns in IIH that Saturn's energies are dark and depressing.

I believe this alone is worthy of commentary, because it surely isn't "wrong",  but any words, "ecstatic" or "depressing" are both "wrong", or should I say "false", above the abyss.

I look at Saturn and Binah as representing "ordering" principles, a quality of mind or intelligence that is purely ordering things in their proper place, aligning this and this to that and that, like a mathematician assigning properties to objects.

For sure, this can appear "ruthless" depending on the correction.

"Compassion" for example, is lovely to attain, but if you use compassion to order the alignment of stars in a galaxy, that is not the place for it. Binah is that which makes this correction.

As for my own personal journey and experience, twice I have faced this Abyss with a capital A in my life.

The first time was as "grace", meaning that it was easy passage, although the experience was incredibly shocking and life altering, I felt I did nothing to deserve or earn it, at least not in this lifetime.

So for years, my ordeal became "why was that easy?"

That meant that I had to repeat the experience, years and years and years later, because I believed it needed some sort of ordeal and rite of passage, some sort of "life or death" struggle or ordeal, to fully "earn" the experience and I had to go through the entire "my whole life and self has been utterly deconstructed and desolate", a process with lot of suffering and anguish and challenge.

Which I did accomplish, and I did feel this ordeal was "hard won" and well deserved, but also I realized totally unnecessary.

After this second crossing, I realized that I had it correct the first time, and the second passage was solely my own creation, my own ordeal, my own view of the abyss that my mind made true and almost impossible so that was the reality I created, or "co-created" to put it in more non-dual terminology.

I was mistaken. It was an Appendix in Outside Solar Lodge - Inside the Law. Here ...

@shiva I just caught this image in your text

Screen Shot 2021 06 19 at 1.07.40 PM

This is exactly the vision during my second passage, white and black pyramids, which then became white and black temples, animals, etc etc.

"Liber 418: One must cross the Abyss twice – The first time
with assistance, the second time in full consciousness."

aha! I didn't realize that was the actual prescription, it did sure work out that way.

Nice one!

The way it was given to me, before I found it in Liber 418, was, "The mountain must be climbed twice, one by night and once by day, and the second time he must bring someone with him."

And it did work out that way.
