Hello
93
I found a ring on e-bay that the sellers says its one of Crowleys. Could it be any truth to this or is it just hoax?

You are kidding me right?!....as if somebody would sell off The Great Beasts Ring ๐
I may be mistaken, but this item - or something surprisingly similar to it - appears quite regularly on eBay.
In any case: I wouldn't bid on it...

The ring looks familiar to me..... It looks like the rings used in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers kids TV show. ๐
I saw that same auction on eBay the other day and I almost started a thread on it myslef to see what everyone here thought about the rings authenticity. Honestly, I can't believe anyone would really take it seriously and I'm extremely surprised that there are 3 bids - for over $800.00 now... IMO it's an elaborate scam, I mean it has to be, right? If someone really had an authentic Crowley ring, wouldn't they have it properly appraised and sell it to some die hard A.C. collector - I mean, if it was genuine someone could get a hell of a lot more than a grand (or whatever he ends up selling it for).
Reminds me of the "Pearl Necklace" auction that was on eBay a few months ago. Some guy claiming that he traveled back in time and hung out with Crowley in his dreams and upon leaving, Crowley gave him a pearl necklace which he then tries to sell on eBay for $6,000. LOL!
Anyways, I feel pretty bad for the people that are actually bidding on that ring.
There was some guy last year selling a wand he claimed belonged to A.C.
I send him an e-mail saying "ya right, your full of shit".
He sent me an e-mail back saying "Make me happy and bid".
I don't remember what it sold for but he had a lot of bids on it.

Don't. Compassion might be the vice of kings, and as a king you are entitled to exercise that vice as you will, but any fool knows you can't purchase magickal power -- whether from e-bay, an occult diploma mill or the Great White Brotherhood itself. You have to earn it.

You never cease to make me smile! You know, with regards to "occult artifacts, documents etc."I think its well worth being in mind that WE, the Magicians of Today, are not in such a different place than the Heros and Anti-Heros of old. We're alive, we're tapping the Current. And we ALL keep journals, make art, jewelry, carve up wands, send letters etc. It should be as exciting and wonderful and direct as having lived in AC's lifetime and being able to get something with the "Touch of the Beast." In fact, as Thelema grows and morphs and CONTINUES to expand into new territory, I think there's ample opportunity for people to enjoy a multitude of such articles-in fact, some stuff that Crowley would have been excited and amazed to find (and NOT at a "King's Ransom!").

Now, when Keith Richards' legendary Skull Ring turns up at auction in the future, THAT would be worth making a bid on! Think of the vibes radiating from that piece of silver!

Having sold a few bits of Crowleyana at auction over the years I can only say the supposed provenance has holes all over it, plus AC would have throw such a poor quality piece of nonsense back at the jeweller in disgust...

There goes that certificate of Authenticity at least!
Oh my, look at the engraving of A.'.A.'. it's A (box) A (box). That's what you get if your computer can't display the dots correctly AโดAโด. Not to mention the A.C. 777
Like Crowley would make a magick ring out of something that came from a Cracker Jack box anyway.
Does this mean, KCh, that the seller is an O.T.O. or A.A. member?
The seller is clearly having a laugh. The ring was supposedly bought in 1921, but the description harps on about the 1909 Choronzon evocation.

๐ What, are you suggesting Crowley couldn't time travel? ๐
