Tarot of Lucifer
Recently the Tarot of Lucifer was acquired and shipped from Moscow. The box set contains 105 Arcana of a demonic hierarchy deck and a little hard cover book in Russian. The deck was on Adam McLean’s website. Immediately I desired to get this deck before it goes out of print. The version purchased was published in 2009. It was expensive with Moneygram fee and shipping costs to the United States. I am satisfied I obtained this because this opportunity might vanish permanently. I can always sell this on e-bay and probably make a profit because of the rarity of this deck. The rarity of this deck is the only reason I am posting this.
Usually, I preferred the traditional Tarot and try to avoid other types of decks. This deck has 72 Goetia Spirits with the sigils they were assigned. The sigils are done in the manner of The Goetia designed by Crowley/Mathers. The Tarot of Lucifer relates to Jacques Collin de Plancy’s Dicitionary of the Infernal. The illustrations have an art style like fantasy art. It is reminiscent of Tyson’s Necronimicon Tarot. However the deck is much bigger, it is about 3 1/8 inches by 5 ¼ inches. The 105 cards stacked are 2 inches high. I prefer this deck over Tyson’s because the historical 72 Goetia entities and an additional 33 entities such as Lilith, Satan, Nahema have existed and are used in the practice of ceremonial evocations. Each card has a sigil in the bottom left and the upper right. I have not figured out how cards 79 to 105 fit in the hierarchy or the deck’s sigil system. It looks like card 98 Lucifer is using some of the seals from the Grimoire Verum.

Also here is an Other link to an earlier printed version I suspect. The version I purchased all the cards in color. This may show an older version because cards 79 to 105 are in black and white. For example this version has Nahema numbered 92, but my version has colored illustration of Samuel as number 92 and Nahema is number 102 with different sigils.
This deck certainly enhances my imagination on these entities and at least I can figure out the spreads in the Russian book. Perhaps, I will follow up with commentary and corrections if needed since I just obtained this item.
Thanks for posting. Not really my cup of tea, but if they work for you then great!
Since German Occultism has been discussed, I thought I should share the box cover of the Tarot of Lucifer. It resembles the Nosferatu or the Bust of the Master Gothos of the Brotherhood of Saturn.
I have examined the Goetia cards 1-72, they list the Goetia in alphabetical order, not in the order of the Goetia. Had to do a 777 reference for the Tarot of Lucifer on excel to match them with the traditional order in the Goetia.
Cards 73-84 represent the Qlippoth of the zodiac, Cards 85-94 represents the order of Demons in Mather’s Kabbalah Unveiled, Cards 95-102 represents 8 of the 11 Arch Devils in Mather’s Kabbalah Unveiled. There are 11 Arch Devils, the other 3 are on the Goetia cards 1-72. Cards 103-105 represent the three veils of negative existence.
It is disappointing they missed the four great rulers of the Goetia: Great Ruler: Amaymon (Air ,East), Goap (Fire, South), Ziminiar (Water,North),and Corson, (Earth,West). I am certainly having fun comparing the cards with the description in the Weiser 1995 edition of the Lesser Key and the Louis Breton’s engraving.
There is an interesting article about the Goetia’s origin.
