I had submitted this as a possible news article but didn't hear back. Here's a story about locating the Germer house in New Jersey where Crowley's ashes supposedly rest. I'm assuming this doesn't count as shameless self promotion.

A good piece of detective work; well done.
Very well done...I just wish you could've gotten a photo of the actual tree. It would be terrible if the new owner rips it up for whatever reason. What the hell was Sascha thinking? And Karl was just like, "whatever". 🙄
Good interesting stuff, good job finding it.
Welcome to the forums!
You motivated me to go onto google earth...now I'm trapped in a rabbit-hole. You provided a lot of info there, plus with the photo of the house I can ascertain what kind of stone wall it is. It's in Hampton near the river, near the river road, but on a private road (and there are a limited number of those). It's a fun hunt; but I'd have no interest in actually going there.

I'm actually a returning member. I was a member long enough ago I had forgotten my credentials.

There are certainly worse ways to spend a few hours online!
After looking at both pics a bit, I'm not at all sure they depict the same house. That aside, there are conflicting accounts as to what happened to the remains. It may be that they were buried and couldn't be found because the spot was mistaken when Karl went to retrieve them. Somehow I don't see Sascha smashing an urn against a tree with ease, maybe she poured out the ashes. Or maybe something else happened, and the truth isn't known. 🙄

There is no need for shame when credit is well deserved. Be shameless in your accomplishment, this was a truly good and very interesting piece of detective work in deed. Thank you for sharing it!

Very cool - thanks for finding it!
They sure added a lot on to that building!

That's very nice of you to say.

They really did. The interior is stunning.
Sadly there is no way of actually proving any of this; but a very interesting story and read none-the-less.
What would be great, is finding some property documentation that definitely ties the Germer's to a particular property.
Thanks for posting.

Are you implying some sort of cocoa powder ingestion?

One thing that came to my mind from the article is the pine tree that is mentioned many times. As the house according to the article is/was situated in the Lebanon Township, Cedrus libani came to my mind. (The tree on the Lebanese flag). Some secret Caliph/Caliphate business?

The property line is the indisputable proof. The photos of the house are the arguable proof.
