I still can't copy and paste jpgs into the threads.
I can drag and drop an image, but neither "Attach Files", or copy and pasting, work any longer for me.
Also, i can include an image link and it works:

I am indeed using a Macbook Pro, though it is running Ubuntu Linux, not any Mac OS.
But i am pretty sure "drag and drop" has been part of Windows for many years; it is referenced extensively in this Windows developer document. It would be curious if, after copying every single other OS element from Mac OS, MS hadn't copied this very basic feature.
Regardless, copy and pasting image links, as opposed to copy and pasting images, does still seem to work, and should absolutely work in any OS.

Thanks ignant. Unfortunately it's not off the web but jpg photos which only have the option to "copy", but no "copy image link" as an option. Will try to get a hold of a mac at work.
Ah well, those are all the ways i can think of to post an image now, and none, except drag and drop, will work on a local file. But drag and drop should work on a Windows machine just like on a Mac or Linux box- maybe some settings configuration on your machine is blocking this? I haven't used Windows in a decade, so can't suggest anything here. And maybe just using someone's Mac may be easier.
Hopefully @lashtal and @eol will fix whatever just got broke soon.

i right clicked the image on the website and copied and pasted the actually url of the pic ending in dot jpg ......because attaching the file didnt work:

i like ubuntu linux much easier to use than earlier linux versions 20 yrs ago....i had a macbook pro from 2010 that became obsolete in 3 yrs due to apple software upgrades...it just stopped working correctly...so i put ubuntu on it worked great...then i decided what the hell i better sell this thing while its still worth something cuz i can run ubuntu on any machine dont need a mac for that....so i sold my $1800 macbook pro for $300 before it became worthless...ubuntu works for most stuff we use computers for....finally some well developed free software
