Anybody here knows what the appendix "o.s." means? It seems AC used it in pre-1909 in the sense of "e.v." i.e. for example" June 27, 1909 o.s." (if I decipher correctly).

Probably "old style", reminiscent of the reform of the calendar some time previously.
