Add to that... In news yesterday regarding the American northern land border, the American administration was floating the idea of stationing military to prevent people from sneaking into the U.S. from Canada. Security theater.

Mexican government stopping Americans from entering Mexico? I don't know whether I should be laughing.

Yesterday was Britain's worse Covid death rate so far.  Preperations are being made for Birmingham Airport to be made into a surplus morgue.

Where the Hell are the testing kits?

Yes, you should (be laughing). Who would want to go to Mexico when they're restricted to their domiciles?

I think Paul is retired civilian staff of, rather than a cop, but they probably need them too.

I've been dragged from retirement into an emergency public-health working group on the effects of the pandemic on people who inject drugs (mostly heroin) in NYC. Worse for them than most, is the short, (very) early take.

Things are getting worse every day in NYC generally. Lots more people are going to start dying in NYC, and nationally, very soon, as a result of Trump's utter failure to do his job, not that he would be capable of doing it if he wanted to.

He has openly stated that he will withhold vital aid from states whose governors are insufficiently "nice" to him. That includes all the states that have significant outbreaks. One (Michigan) is unfortunate enough to have a woman as a Governor, which has infuriated this small-minded narcissist. It was one of the three states that put him over the top in the Electoral College in 2016, but i guess he figures only Democrats will die.

At least the $2.2 trillion bailout bill is passed, and heading to Trump for him to sign so the money firehose is about to get turned on.

If they had taken the bail outs continued to be given out to the too big to jail and the markets and given it to the people instead it would amount to about half a million per person not $1,200.

By my calculator, $2,200,000,000,000/330,000,000=$6,666.66 per American, not half a million.

Half a million each for 330,000,000 people would be $165,000,000,000,000. Maybe by late summer, the way things are going.

We are not spending $2.2 trillion dollars just to give every American money, we are spending it to make sure rich folks stay rich.

Bear in mind that a Moloch-worshipping Death Cult is very powerful in American politics. The only reason ordinary people get anything at all is that Democrats forced that Death Cult to include some money for regular folks as the price for bailing out big business, and making sure no billionaire is harmed financially by COVID-19.

Incidentally, according to our Esteemed Future-Forseeing Comrade @runelogix' prediction, i believe tomorrow is the day civil order will break down, with widespread violence, looting, and rioting in US cities, gradually spreading nationwide into chaos and violence.

So hard to believe western civilization is over, tomorrow. Oh well.

you need to figure in the $120Billion dollars a day they were injecting last year plus the Quantitative easing that’s been going on for years to bail out the racket.

And what are all thos sixes? You're going to inflame the Numerologists.

Well, $1200 is better than 61, but I've heard it's for the workers, and us retarded retired fget 61. I'm waiting to see if this is true.

I live rurally. How long will it take before the ravaging hordes from the city overrun us? Why would the hordes swarm out into the desert where everyone has guns, and there's no storehouses or stores to loot? I have a construction project scheduled for tomorrow - should I cancel it and prime the guns, instead?

USA descent into chaos and violence?

That's what the army and the police is there for; to try and prevent that.

I think this was yesterday;

REPORTER: Do you think that the economic uncertainty has passed?

DONALD TRUMP: No, not yet. It hasn’t passed but it’s come a long way. I think they think we’re doing a really good job in terms of running this whole situation having to do with the virus.

I think they feel that — I think they feel the administration, myself and the administration, they’re doing a good job. We’re keeping — very important — the people informed. Because it was a great fear.

And, a lot of good things are happening. The mortality rate is at a — in my opinion — you have to speak to Deborah [Birx], Tony [Fauci], all of the others — but in my opinion it’s way, way down and that takes a lot of fear out. You know, it’s one thing to have it, it’s another thing to die.

I once logged-into a conference call with my former CDC masters, and local health department folks, and my entire staff, while attempting to multi-task and download an interview for another study from an ipad to my desktop machine, and going through the whole complex routine of inputting the call number, and call password, on the phone on speakerphone.

Just as i got added to the group call, the file transfer from the ipad failed, and i yelled "Fuck me naked!" in frustration. Fortunately, everyone knew me pretty well, so no one was shocked or anything, but i believe it was the subject of some discussion.

NY COVID-19 situation continues SUSFU ("Situation Unchanged, Still Fucked Up"), but at least not yet FUBAR or, thanx unto the gods and Gov. Cuomo, the superlative TARFU ("Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition" and "Things Are Really Fucked Up")

Not that you would know it here 90 miles from New Rochelle and NYC, where it is very very quiet except for endless calls and texts from the school district about free food pickups available at all school parking lots.

Aha. Now the real drama begins. Read AL III for the full screenplay. Forget the puzzles and riddles. Sharpen your sword.

Southern Italian supermarket raids?  Funny how the police didn't mobilize.

I was out walking at 8pm.   I must've counted 15 people on foot in a half hour period.   It was so quiet I even heard a fox squawking which makes me think, the animals must be confused.

In my head and my wife's.

Its not that bad.

We are distancing. and eating nice foods that we learn how to cook at home.

I still go to the 'liq' once a week and drum my ass off alone.

Lots of walking.

I think I am fitter than usual.

Its different in any country.

Did you see Mayor Cuomo talking about 'bag-valve masks' as alternatives to the ventillators?  An ill COVID patient, whose lungs are giving way, needs to be on a ventillator 24/7 for up to 21 weeks.  A 'bag-valve mask' is, of course, a mask over a patient's mouth and the attached bag must be squeezed manually and constantly as a pulsation  24/7 in order to keep the patient alive.  There is talk of training national guardsmen to do the bag-squeezing in shifts.

Densely populated India is trying lockdown, imagine that.  Apparently masses of folk are not social-distancing and the homeless and untouchables are gathering for food hand-outs.  The COVID mortality rate will be enormous.

Well the European super-state is apparently powerless against food-shortages and armed gangs raiding supermarkets in Italy so how woulds a Global Government fare any better?

Not on the city streets. Coyotes are everywhere in the Southwest US States. I have seen and heard them all over the place ... in the desrts and hills. We live in a rural desert place. The coyote packs could be heard nightly, when we moved here 15 years ago. After about 3-4 years, they stopped yipping and howling and the pack(s) moved somewhere else. We don't have any expansion of civilization going on here, so they weren't driven away by more people.

Back in San Fran, the surrounding hills are bound to be home to a lot of these fellows. Slow down the foot and car traffic and they'll surely come looking.

An untrained person could try bully technique. Proclaim to be studying them 'angles' for attack, like fight commentators go on about. Saw someone trying this a few weeks ago. It didn't work since such a display reveals weakness to all trained or informed individuals, but it could wow some ignorant types who think such facades are impressive. Most would be too embarrassed to try it, but when desperate dignity often gets discarded.

General food distribution within the US will be completely disrupted in two weeks (as distribution centers are emptied) and the general breakdown of law and order beings mostly in urban areas, at first.

Just as @runelogix predicted two weeks ago, food riots become widespread in NYC yesterday, March 28, as shown in this news photo taken yesterday

And in LA

I apologize to @runelogix, turns out "the general breakdown of law and order" has indeed begun, though on a very rural island (pop. 1,165) off the Maine coast:

image

Several gun-toting people cut down a tree and dragged it into another resident’s driveway in an attempt to force them to quarantine Friday, according to a report received by local police on Vinalhaven Island in Maine.

https://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/ny-coronavirus-forced-quarantine-maine-guns-20200328-nswvqpetpvfgbgbtu6cgcvzewq-story.html

Probably now they will just burn down their neighbor's house if he doesn't stay in. They are tough in rural New England; HP Lovecraft was right about some things. Almost all houses in New England are all or mostly wood; this is a popular threat/practice in the backwoods since colonial times.

I am watching developments in NYC with keen interest.

image

By next week the first wave of sick medical responders will die just as the hospitals are overwhelmed and the overflow of sick are forced into tent containment areas.

Also fun is the absence of NYPD: "There are 730 uniformed New York Police department officers infected with coronavirus, as well as 96 civilian NYPD employees, bringing the total to 826 positive coronavirus cases, according to a law enforcement official.

Twenty-nine of the individuals are hospitalized and one is in critical condition, the official said.

Beyond these cases, the department — which has about 36,000 officers — has over 4,662 officers out sick, which is about 12% of the department."

Although they seem to keep things together at the moment it is hard to believe it is going to remain that way with 20%+ off the job.

I really enjoyed Cuomo's threat of sedition if the State is put into quarantine, really activates the almonds. He may get his defiant wish in coming weeks. Enjoy these clips of NY government keeping the lemmings calm:

I'm a hard skeptic of conspiracy theories but *as a bioweapon* this attack has become so effective I am developing a bias that this happened as a pure accident but it is unlikely the truth will ever be known. Out with the old, in with the new!

I'm surprised you haven't discussed the possibility that viruses adapt, fight back against vaccines and return.

"Pope cuts out the middle-men; says it’s OK to confess directly to God [...] POPE Francis appears to have had a Martin Luther moment yesterday (Friday) when he said that people who cannot get to a confessional as a result of COVID-19 lock-downs ‘or another serious issue’, can confess directly to God, and not to a priest." (Source: https://www.patheos.com/blogs/thefreethinker/2020/03/pope-cuts-out-the-middle-men-says-its-ok-to-confess-directly-to-god/  )

"The Kingdom of God is inside/within you (and all about you), not in buildings/mansions of wood and stone. (When I am gone) Split a piece of wood and I am there, lift the/a stone and you will find me."

Teasing aside it's good to see the Catholic Church adapting for the health of their adherents, even if it may only be temporary and self-serving.

We hold the Earth fro Hell away. 🌹

@dom The most obvious target is the US political system during an election year and collateral damage by allied countries as acceptable secondary targets. There are rumors of up to 8 different strains of corona now. It is hard to come across irrefutable evidence of that as most researchers/governments are keeping their findings confidential. Best case scenario is that the most deadly strain runs out of carriers to continue its spread and the milder strains persist. It is difficult to tell which strain only produce permanent lung and sexual organ damage. It would be really nice if this peaks in a couple weeks then recedes but it is wishful thinking to be too hopeful.

Force and Fire is not metaphorical. In Prophetes Veritas Venit.
