C93 Honeysuckle Aeons
Caught these lines amongst the wonderful lyrics to Current 93's latest LP...
'In night I shed smiles
Books of Law'. (Lily)
'I have misheard Adonai and brought down
Aiwass in the Mass'. (Persimmon)
I think it's a splendid and rather charming record.

Great album, recalling elements of Soft Black Stars and Sleep Has His House, but also a definite move forward. Honeysuckle.. was easier for me to get into than Baalstorm, for some reason.
Oh, while we're at it, thought I should point out that the latest issue of The Wire mentions England's Hidden Reverse will be reprinted in paperback later this summer.
I am deeply stirred and moved by this album. Very much agree that it calls to mind Stars and Sleep but it has more of a sweeping apocalyptic feel, the extraordinarily charged emotional expression of a human being voyaging through a sprawling soulscape portending damnation or salvation. If the last three albums formed a trilogy, this feels like an "epilogue." I am also amazed at how much sublimity is called up in such a short running time and with such "minimal" instrumentation. The poetic genius clearly flows, without cessation, through David Tibet and Co. I give Honeysuckle 11 stars out of 10.
That's good news...I wonder if it will still come with the CD?, or perhaps that's asking a little too much.
Regarding the CD that came with the first edition of EHR: there was nothing special about it and certainly nothing to fret over.
I'm more curious as to whether the book has been reedited or if it includes additional material.
