I love this forum, I especially find Shiva's posts often very enlightening! He puts in a sentence here and there which is a total eye-opener.

Have to compile a "best of Shiva" someday 😉

Thank you all for the insightful comments here!

Thanks for the plug. "The Best of Shiva" always contains the word Nothing, Void, Empty, Zero, or some equivalent.

I am pleased to report that some difficult scenarios (states) discussed in the Wu-Shin thread, have been lifted by me and are being re-written (in the finest 1904/06/09, or L/AL tradition) into an Appendix in the book that is now written but awaiting proofing. The secrets are always found in the footnotes, and are fully revealed in the Appedii. Said Appendix will be offered up free for crucifixion here on LAShTAL, if I ever get time to complete it, what with all the GPS, K, 24 89, AL/L/el stuff pouring in like hurricane Horrendous.

But it will "not" be one of those publications with blank pages all in it, I trust Shiva?!

We are, overall, a great forum and welcome aboard!

Perhaps you are well aware, Jackie, but there IS a LOT of Shiva material "out there" ranging from the written word to video material. He rather frequently and kindly has made material available to the interested membership from time to time (gracias, Shiva).

I agree about those gems which may be found in many of his posts. As he tends to post here like a train rushing forward, I would think a "Best Of" Retrospective would be best assembled by another. Perhaps yourself? 😀

But surely if that eye of his had been totally opened, we'd all have been absolutely annihilated!

Of course it will (not). Everyone has to write their own book; that's what this whole, holy path is all about. All brethren/sistren will need plenty of watermarked, blank pages. But in the future (starting now), all holy books must be submitted in digital format. These quills and drippy fountain pens create confusion among those who follow a century later.

I like da real copies of dem books.

Paper.

If you want to support Shiva here is his lulu page. Is that against the T&C? I hope not.

I enjoyed Inside Solar Lodge, and my next book of his will be Master Codex.

Speaking of Crowley related lulu authors, Joe Bandel has a great page there with his Hanns Heinz Ewers translations as well (Crowley and Ewers corresponded and worked together at the International).

Both highly recommended gentlemen.

Or all four.

Yes, I've noticed that too. I'm a fairly new member, it took me a while to "get" him, wasn't quite sure what to make of him at first. 🙂

You are now treading in deep waters, dirty doo-doo, and paradoxes beyond despair. Here are two possibilities ...

1. The after-death Bardo states can be confusing. People sometimes do not know they have been annihilated. They think they are still alive, and that's why the world seems so weird to them.

2. The Eye thing is an individual matter. It does not affect other people ... unless it is purposely focused on them. There is no macrocosmic Shiva who will destroy everyone's universe, simultaneously. There is no End of the World for all ... one people person at a time, please.

But I was being at least 80% non-serious officer!

Hey, form an orderly queue there! And no pushing at the back.

A little background stuff, being for the benefit of those who might not already be cognisant:

"... Shiva is represented as dancing upon the bodies of his devotees. To understand this is not easy for most western minds. Briefly, the doctrine is that the ultimate reality (which is Perfection) is Nothingness. Hence all manifestations, however glorious, however delightful, are stains. To obtain perfection, all existing things must be annihilated. […]
The above should make it clear that magical symbols must always be understood in a double sense, each contradictory of the other. These ideas blend naturally with the higher and deeper significance of the card. [Atu XVI, "The Tower"]
The dominating feature of this card is the Eye of Horus. This is also the Eye of Shiva, on the opening of which, according to the legend of this cult, the Universe is destroyed." (from "The Book of Thoth")

Unblinkingly yours,

N Joy
