Just a bit of fun.
Which car makes or models would best suit the practicing left hand path magician or thelemite.
This came to me yesterday while driving around the UK.

Here are some models available in the UK to help get the ball rolling.

Saab 93
Ford Focus
Rover 418

What does "left hand" have to do with it? All American cars are driven in the left-hand seat.

An automoble is an outer vehicle for the physical body, just as the physical body is the vehicle for the soul or consciousness of the (any) person. One can do a "reading" on an individual just by assessing their short [A "short" is a 60's term for a car]. Just for fun, I'll give you what I would want if I were looking for a new short:

[/align:3hfpseoo]

My current short is (as wisely recommended) a Kia:

[/align:3hfpseoo]

But when I was at the height of my prowess within the Establishment , this is what I drove [It was turbocharged and not short on power or speed]:

[/align:3hfpseoo]

Frater Taurus, sitting in the passenger seat, said, "That's Enough!" He chickened out as I hit 130 mph - and we were still accelerating.

Nice Z Shiva 🙂 My wife had a 280ZX Turbo (by Janspeed) that was a real beast. Could out accelerate a Lamborghini Diablo in the 50-70 sprint!

We currently own three classics, a Rover 820iSE (one of just 15 remaining), a Lotus Excel SE and a Bertone X1/9 Gran Finale. The X1/9 has 93 in it's registration number, so I guess that counts as our Thelemic contribution!

In my case, a bicycle, as I think it unmanly to admit I am unable to get from place to place under my own steam; I have never had either a license to operate a motor vehicle, or to cut hair.
I do allow my wife to drive me around from time to time, in as it happens the same Kia Shiva has, except it's red.
Chittychittybangbang does seem a very suitable option (and not that far off Shiva's future vehicle); I also highly recommend the fudge recipe at the end of the book, a childhood favorite.

I always tended to end up with large black turbo cars when I was still driving, but now I come to think about it, a large black  powerful car is like a large black panther.  I went through a stage of  Bagheera worship (Jungle Book) when I was a little girl.  It's amusing to think that my choice of vehicle was probably influenced by that.  I suspect that if I'd lived in the south when I was younger I might have been looking to take up with a large black lover... lol.

When I was remote viewing regularly, at the warming up stage of each session I became accustomed to having a car turn up for me - as if my subconscious was saying "Hop in, let's go for a ride!"  It never sent a large black car for me but experimented with a variety of shapes and colours - I think there was a lotus once... are those the ones where the door slides up rather than out?  Anyway - we ended up with a sort of ufo type of car.  Nicely rounded.

JHVH drives a Plymouth. It says in Genesis that "God drove Adam and Eve from the Garden in his Fury.

But for a modern 21st Century Thelemite? Perhaps the new Ford Equinox?

The Genesis reference to JHVH's Mopar preference made me LOL so loudly the wife called down from the second floor "What's so funny, that you laugh so hard?"
"A complicated religious joke about American cars" I replied.
Kudos for wit & thanx for the laugh, Walterfive.

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends.
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a color TV ?
Dialing For Dollars is trying to find me.
I wait for delivery each day until three,
So oh Lord, won't you buy me a color TV ?

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a night on the town ?
I'm counting on you, Lord, please don't let me down.
Prove that you love me and buy the next round,
Oh Lord, won't you buy me a night on the town ?

Everybody!
Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends,
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?

This a good one! Here in the U.S. it used to be a commonly used phrase,"you are what you drive." Following that line of thought it is striking the similarities between the car and the physical body. In my youth I gave quite a bit of thought to this and even for a while referred to my physical body as my "kar!" More than a few people thought I was nuts. It has a motor which equates to the heart. It pumps fluids and has a nervous system in the wiring. It goes on and on the similarites.
I was in my youth a 1968 Chevelle SS, 396, four speed with a 4:11 twelve bolt posi rearend. 12:1 forged trw pistons, all the bells and whistles. I drank 4 gallons to the mile and could stand on my rear tires and literally tear up the pavement. That one ended up wrapped around a phone pole.
I then manifested as a Jeep CJ5. I stood tall and could go anywhere.

For awhile I was a 500 horsepower Peterbilt that could haul 42,000 lbs without even breathing hard and could have surely pulled the earth into a new orbit had I found a way to hook to it.
Now I am a 20 year old landcruiser with more than 200k on the odometer...the end is in sight...unless, just maybe...I can slip into one of these new Mustang Boss 302's?
Best wishes.

I think walterfive gets the award for most humorous and wittiest entry.
The KIA seems to have won a place in the heart of many a thelemite.
Not had the pleasure of seeing the ford equinox, is it a US edition?

[move:1pu1hdpu]Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars[/move:1pu1hdpu]

Hydrogen fuel cell cars are quite simply the future of the automotive industry. These vehicles are electric vehicles that use a hydrogen fuel cell for power instead of a battery pack.

Most of the major automobile manufacturers today have one or more hydrogen fuel cell cars in their lineup of prototypes. Some, carmakers like Ford have both hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and H2ICE (hydrogen internal combustion engine) cars in their stables.

Almost all of the H2 vehicles being shown today are built around a hydrogen PEM (proton exchange membrane) fuel cell (Volkswagen is one exception that has been experimenting with a solid oxide fuel cell).

A couple of the hydrogen fuel cell cars that have made headlines of the past couple of years are the Honda FCX Clarity and the Chevy Equinox Fuel Cell. The Honda Clarity has won numerous awards including the 2009 World Green Car award and the 2009 Grove Medal.

Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell[/align:1pu1hdpu]

Um ... They are Expensive[/align:1pu1hdpu]

But they are (probably) the Wave of the Future[/align:1pu1hdpu]

93,

I'm looking forward to getting in a hover car in the future, and talking to my onboard AI that does the driving. 😀

There's so much really groovy technology coming online that are absolutely brilliant solutions to the energy crisis; - hydrogen cars and solar panels etc - but the cost to most folks is prohibitive.  Scorched Earth type Capitalism is still controlling the dollar, the yen and the euro... and I think the turning point will only arise at the same time as a free energy device that is cheap to build and can be possessed by an individual for no more than a few dollars.

Studying science and politics together can give a person some strange idea's...

I very much have an on/off relationship with Top Gear and it's in an off stage at the moment (not helped by the fact that quite a few people think I sound like Clarkson...... >:().

As an English Qabalist I have struggled to find anything meaningful in my vehicles, these being a Toyota Rav4 and a BMW R1100GS bike. Although stretching things a bit I turned to my outboard and found that, by EQ, Yamaha =58 = Hadit and in Japanese means

The word can be split in two parts - Yama & Ha.
The first word stands for the Death Principle ( reverred as Yama - Deity of Death ).Death means the end of anything that is not divine. Because the body is not divinised, the soul casts the body & adopts another one according to its karma.
And the sound of the second syllabe 'Ha' removes all negativities. It is the killer sound, the sound that kills all impurities, brings an end to all impurities in the being. Ancient Tantric texts mention that "Ha" is the mantra of the Supreme three eyed Lord. Thus put together, the word 'Yamaha' means 'Killer of Yama' . & obviously , this only refers to the Supreme Lord Himself, the One who is reverentially & lovingly called "Shri Rudra".
