LAShTAL is like the Shotokan Karate HQ in Tokyo. A sign on the door says, "All Challenges Accepted." I was told "people go in there all the time ... and they get the crap kicked out of them." LAShTAL has no such sign, but challenges often come. Most posters duck aside and a few knights move into that square on the chessboard.

Is there a chessboard set up in the dojo HQ? i.e., is this a mixing up of the planes games?

The LAShTAL Game is played on many planes.

And on many threads boards...

Yes, there is a definite chessboard. The floor is flat, there is no mat, the floor is made of wood (ideally). The Rokukan Senior Citizen Style of Yang-family Tai Chi has six (roku) "squares" or "stones" (kan) that are seen only in the practitioner's inner vision. Sometimes I put down six pieces of letter-sized paper on the wood floor - which is really linoleum tile - and I (or a student) will step successively onto the papers/stones/squares in order to dispatch or discourages multile assailants.

In the Bagua style, there are eight (ba) directions (gua). The practitioner steps into each direction (square) and pretends to defend against multiple assailants.

No, there has been no mixing of any plains or games, except perhaps for the confusion in the mind-planes of some one reader or another.

Thanx for the clarification Shiva.

Walking the square

Yes, very much to the point of illustrating my point.

Now, forget the squares for a bit, and the trolls too, because this guy does the squares elsewhere. Here, he is simply presented in a very short video in order to answer the question, "Who do we know that is 118 and can do anything like this?"
