@mal

Why?

Mal if you don't want to talk about it then don't feel pressured.

Thoughtful of you to appear to consider my feelings. Although, other recent comments you've made contradict legitimate concern. Feeling pressured wasn't a consideration anyhow, so you can relax if you're legit worried.

The question was based on you appearing very excited to await the answer. Your previous responses don't indicate any appreciation for or interest in Indigenous history, culture or art(you even voiced not caring about learning) and it made me wonder what the answer would provide for you to get you so excited.

@mal

When I said I don't care about Red Indian this or that  look at the context in which I said that.

That was bad communication on my behalf.  The context was my scepticism about you actually being indigenous.  I'm looking forward to you convincing me that you are actually indigenous.  That is,I look forward to being proved wrong.

Thanks.

I'm.putting a sock in it too.

The answer to your question won't be enough by itself. It'll just lead to more prying questions and moving goalposts.

@ignant666

Ignant.

Read your peice just the other day and passed it off.

However, yesterday i picked up a cppy of Leonard Schlains 'Art and Physics'.

I will confess, i used to pass off all 'post modern art' as crap. However, i am now seeing a new viewpoint.

DuChamp was part of the Cubist movement. Experimenting with new concepts of space, away from Euclidean concepts. Carrying on from DaVinci(sfumato) Manet, Monet, Giotto, Alberti and more.

And all this before Einsteins theory.

He played his part with 'Nude woman descending stairs'. Unless you understood art history you wouldn't see its value.

In fact it represents changes in concepts of space time, evolution etc etc.

I see him differently now.

Q789

Didn't his brother invent caricature?

Kandinsky wanted to get into the higher dimensional aspect of things so buildings or whatever would be stretched or slanted, this is abstract art.
