Nice attempt to deflect.

And any time you want find out if i'm a "wanna-be tough guy", my offer stays open. I'm so damn insecure, i'm liable to have to make you lie down and bleed, just by you getting near me.

But: Do you, as a "woke" modern guy with a water-bottle, really feel that it is appropriate for you, as a white guy who lives in Vancouver,  to use as an avatar a symbol that you have appropriated from Plains Indian culture?

Note that you have recolored the "Indigenous symbol" that you have appropriated from Plains Indian culture into the "extra-fashy" NSDAP/Nazi colors of red, black, white and yellow since i first pointed out your use of Fascist iconography.

That's quite a violent impetus taking hold of you. Anger management issues? If you can't control it, get professional help.

Regarding your other remarks or questions, until you calm down, stop with the posturing and a desire to escalate to violence(in a meetup. lol.), and show a willingness to communicate respectfully I won't be replying to you on those.

So, in other words, you have no good answer to my questions about your use of Fascist iconography, that you say you have appropriated from American Plains Indian tribes (who lived far away from where your Caucasian person resides).

And you would rather continue deflecting into amateur internet psychologizing (since you are no more a person with the training to talk about anyone's "anger management issues" than you are an "Indigenous person").

Kinda the same way you have responded every other time i've pointed out that you are a Caucasian Canadian who uses a swastika for an avatar.

So maybe stop doing that, or maybe, if you, as a White Canadian man who digs Plains Indian symbols, just can't stop appropriating them as your own, maybe stop the butt-hurt "woke" whining and wrapping yourself in the cultures of other folks (you know, the ones you appropriated your swastika from)?

That's all you making incorrect speculation and none of it's true.
There's nothing to answer beyond that. Now take your little act and go about your way. You've had your say, been heard and dismissed.

Hopefully, the main takeaway you take from this conversation, for the safety of others and yourself, is that you don't attack random Indigenous peoples if you see them wearing a medicine wheel of that design.

So, wait, you aren't actually claiming that there was, in real life, like in terms of some verifiable historical record, an "Indigenous"/Indian tribe, or culture, that used the swastika you prefer to call a "Medicine Wheel" in any region within, say, one thousand miles of Vancouver?

No, i didn't think you would.

I, too, might rather deflect to other folk's "anger management issues" around not liking Nazis, if i were in your untenable position. Not that i'd ever find myself there, having been raised right.

I note that you, for perhaps the dozenth time, once again deflect from responding directly (or at all) to my questions as to how appropriate it is for you, as a Caucasian person, to appropriate Indian symbols derived from cultures you've never had any contact with outside of books, let alone to repeatedly make butt-hurt, false, and absurd complaints of racism when called on this?

As to how safe it might be to walk around NYC wearing a swastika, since our good Comrade seems concerned for the safety of folks, like him, who might want to do that:

Not even a little teeny-tiny bit safe- there are really a lot of Jews in NYC, and also really a lot of brown and black folks, and even a lot of just regular old white folks, and other folks who might have read some history (or not, but maybe they just like the sound a Nazi's head makes when it hits  the pavement- such a nice round "thiunk!").

But NYers just plain don't like Nazis, or folks who like to wear "quilled earrings" with swastikas on them, even one little bit.

I see this old thread got some more unexpected activity. 🙂 I'm fairly new on this forum and don't pretend to understand some of the "dynamics" that go on here. I don't yet understand all the "banter" (bantz), some of it can seem pretty complex. I've noticed you two have some kind of "dynamics" going on, I'm not judging anything or taking sides, I wish each of you well.

@duck just to clarify my side of the dynamic up a little. I don't really know who ignant is and have had little interaction with him. We're not familiar. He started acting unexpectedly hostile a few months ago, just before the site change. It wasn't so bad but it's gotten worse to where things are at now. 🤷‍♂️ Not sure how seriously to take it. Bets are on that if he keeps the way he's going he's going to fall into the loony bin or prison. If karma is a thing his meth dealing might lean it one way. That's about all I have to say about that matter for the moment.

On topic: as to my original post regarding the hypercube which was meant to be a light bump(thanks for the like btw, I took it as acknowledgement that you read it). The inner worlds remark was in regards to the theory that thoughts and emotions have substance, objective physical properties, even life in the worlds they inhabit and that these realms are connected spatially to the physical world. Meditating on the moving image allows a visualization that is like accessing those realms in a spatial manner providing a psychological means to balance and align the forces perceived within them as subjective becomes objective and vice versa. A legend just came to mind that if there are living forces of harmful nature in these places being disrupted they might strike out and try to destroy the knowledge and keep things unbalanced. Maybe puppeteering a corrupt mind...👻

Thanks for the kind wishes.

The story of Swastika-Boy

The person who, for many years, made forgettable mush-minded occultist posts under the name "mal", a Canadian, spent several months last year aggressively advocating for the US Democratic presidential candidate, and New Age imbecile, Marianne Williamson.

Mal got very very upset, and very hostile, when i pointed out that she had less chance of being president than me (she dropped out a couple months later), and also is a New Age imbecile without a single good idea, and a remarkable ignorance of US history and politics.

Mal then began a series of passive-aggressive amateur-psychologizing posts in the music thread about how liking loud aggressive rock music means that a person suffers from many emotional and psychological problems he is able to diagnose from posted songs.

He would never say whose many personality deficits and disorders his cringily "woke" diagnoses applied to. Coincidentally, i was the main poster of such music at that time. He also frequently posted trite and banal synth-pop with female singers and platitudinous lyrics, which i (and others) mocked for their light-weight vapidity. This caused mal to post more diagnostic material.

Then, mal began using the swastika as his avatar, which he says is OK because this particular swastika is a US Plains Indian "Medicine Wheel", and he is a registered member of a Native American tribe, up there in Vancouver, Canada.

Coincidentally, i am a person with a pathological hatred for Nazis, Fascists, and other assorted far-right racist scum. Swastikas, fasces, Confederate flags, etc. have the effect on me of a red flag to a bull.

His excuses are obvious bullshit: Vancouver is more than a thousand miles away, with the Rocky Mountains in between, from the US states where the Plains Indian cultures lived and in some cases still live. No tribe in coastal Western Canada used this "Medicine Wheel" symbol, or even geometric figures, in their art or cultures, which tend to use organic animal forms.

And of course the "Medicine Wheel" symbol never was an important part of the religion or culture of any Plains tribe, but is super-duper popular among Caucasian New Agers who appropriate tribal imagery. And dig swastikas.

And of course, in real life, mal is not really a registered member of any tribe, and very likely has no Native ancestry whatever. He's just a guy who digs swastikas, and just happens to prefer his swastikas in the good old National-Socialist German Worker's Party (NSDAP, aka "the Nazis") colors of red, black, white, and gold.

Then mal stopped using the swastika avatar for a while, but recently started again. Somewhere along the line, he changed his forum handle to "XON", and then to the current bunch of stupid emojis or whatever those things are.

Also, when i accused him (in the music thread) of being the sort of person who carries around a water bottle and probably does not eat cheese, he did not deny these serious accusations. So i think we can take it as true that mal habitually carries around a water bottle, and does not eat cheese. Need i say more?

One more point: I want to correct something i said above: that "medicine wheels" are "super-duper popular among Caucasian New Agers who appropriate tribal imagery. And dig swastikas."

The first part is accurate (New Agers do adore "medicine wheels"), but actually, almost no New Ager "medicine wheels" are also swastikas; this is easily verified by a google image search.

Mal/XON/string of idiotic emojis just happened to pick a "medicine wheel" that is a swastika, that just happens to be in the official Nazi Party colors.

No actual Native American art i've been able to find includes this circular swastika as part of any "medicine wheel" design, but, of course, there are almost no "medicine wheels" in Native American art until the 1970s. The earthwork Stonehenge-like constructions sometimes called by this name bear no resemblance to mal's avatar.

The term "medicine wheel" of course is an artifact of colonialist white invaders, since no North American tribe had invented/discovered the wheel pre-contact. Cultures don't build metaphorical/symbolic systems around things that don't exist.

Over to you, Swastika-Boy.

I'd near need a hagiography to completely set those most viscous grade school speculations and games of ignant's straight. Glad it's not worth it. Thanks anyway for sharing ignant, at least you clearly show what's living in your head and where the neighbourhood is at.

One fabrication from ignant's crayon admonishment I want to take advantage of as a segue back to topic is the claim that anyone could get mad about Marianne Williamson's political chances. That doesn't even make sense. Her theosophical styled political outlook was worth checking out, even supporting, but wasn't realistic as I had previously said. It was someone else who got flustered and started hurling insults. Someone who acts like a juvenile delinquent and thinks boasting online to have a fight meet up is tough stuff. Probably winds himself just putting on his shoes. Gets educated by wikibot. That would be ignant.

@duck, to bring this back around to the hypercube, in this video she talks about collective sacred space as both external and internal concepts setting the stage to discuss the divine feminine, national issues and the current state of women's experience along these lines in America. It's from before she announced her 2020 run and does contain a lot of her early stump. A pulpit setting where she can speak uninterrupted really suits her style, which can meander making some ideas appear unconnected when taken in isolation, but over time she ties back to point.

Oh, I can't resist the music bait. It appears that someone insulted ignant's musical taste back in high school and he's never forgotten. It's like the biggest insult ever, dude.

"Geriatric delinquent", as i keep telling you. I do actually have a graduate degree called a "J.D.", but it stands for "Juris Doctor", not "juvenile delinquent".

Three graduate degrees actually, son, and 20 years of peer-reviewed scholarship, and funding from highly-competitive Federal research grants, but nice try.

I've posted my Google Scholar page; where's yours? Didn't think so.

Note the matters Comrade mal can't answer: 1) his false claim to be a registered member of a Native American tribe; 2) his shit taste in music; 3) carrying a water bottle, and not eating cheese.

And of course digging swastikas, that just happen to be in the Nazi Party colors

Anyone who doubted my claim that mal's posts consist solely of vapid New Age moronery, and passive-aggressive personal attacks cast in amateur psychologizing terms, needs only to read his post.

And one more thing: Again with the fucking Marianne Williamson? Quit while you're behind, son. I'm sure there are folks posting videos on youtube who are dumber than she is, but there can't be many. Probably you will find them and post them, reverently.

I do want to come clean about the wikibot and Liber LXX thing on reddit before stopping talking to you for the day, ignant.

I did register a reddit account to make an experiment to gauge your need for approval and how it relates to your self perception. This was based on the observation you often boast when attempting to impose your opinions.

I only registered one account to downvote your original post and upvote the bot. I wasn't expecting anything and had planned on registering another account after about 30 minutes, but your responses made during the wait time made that unnecessary. They were revealing of a fragile person.

I bring this up because while it is kind of fun to make fun of you and play a few games it's starting to feel like cruelty and I'm going to stop.

You're obsessing over nothing, ignant.

Even more ???? WTF are you on about, Swastika-Boy?

I have no idea what you are saying here, except that it has something to do with reddit, and you creating multiple sock-puppet accounts to do some kind of attack on my reddit "karma", or upvotes, or something. I have posted like a dozen times on the reddit Thelema group. I made an account after a post about what's-his-name from Killing Joke releasing some music was illustrated with my avatar image from here, and i was like, huh?.

Beyond that, i don't understand (or care) how the reddit up-vote/down-vote system works, or if it is the same as reddit "karma", and could not possibly care less how the kindergarten Thelemites and (c)OTO drones there perceive me, or react to anything i post. My "karma" score is 52 (just checked), but i do not know what that means.

You really should seek out professional help.

No, not at all. @Swastika-Boy is just an idiot New Ager who digs swastikas. And likes shit music, and carries a water bottle. [Edit: Well, "crank", yes, "white supremacist", no- he's super-"woke", and undoubtedly has a Black Friend).

And engages in internet stalking, and sock-puppet attacks, on people who have hurt his widdle fee-fees.

One has to wonder if this behavior carries over to Swastika-Boy's off-line "real life", and, if so, just how many orders of protection, and anti-stalking orders, may be in effect against our emotionally-damaged Comrade?

See, i can do the passive-aggressive amateur psychologizing too, my New-Age Comrade, and, due to being much smarter than you, may well have "hit the coco on the boko", as the kids say.

Glad you liked it, I have some more of these. Its the first page of each chapter in red, green and blue and layered so it makes a secondary colour where they overlap (plus white when all 3 overlap). I liked the look of it more in "landscape" so that's why its like that. I think it makes it more "mandala"-like.

The stationary overlapped pics convey well the impression of AL as a singular phenomena occurring in a frozen moment of time to an extra-dimensional entity. The different colours are chaotic to me but are suggestive of different associations.

The hypercube animation might do the same if there was a way to arrange the faces. Shouldn't matter if they distort or overlap if there is a good attempt to ascribe to some order for the observer to latch onto as it folds. The flashing gifs are too chronological for this for me.

I like this a lot, I'm adding it to my "quotes.txt" file 🙂 . I'm glad that someone seems to get some of this stuff. In the last couple of months I have started to get brief glimpses of "thoughts" that could be described as "extradimensional". I don't yet know what it all means and I hope to gain more understanding. I don't know why, but I have a "hunch" that the "puzzles" in Liber AL are actually "portals" that open up the mind to this extradimensional awareness. The act of opening up the mind and the act of solving the puzzle is the same thing.

That hypercube animation isn't mine, though I want to be able to make my own. I know what you mean by the confusion. A better starting point would be instead of animating the whole 4d cube rotating in 4d space, we would animate just one of the eight 3d cubes that make it up, again, rotating in 4d space. You could then start to understand how it behaves in 4d space, the important thing is that it appears to turn inside out! And I believe this is another form of LA/AL: a thing is both "outside out" and "inside out" at the same time, from a certain perspective!

I will research some software that does hypercube visualization, and will post the links here.

Thanks,

Duck.

Yeah, wow, totally. I mean, other than the fact that aleph isn't a swastika, in either form or derivation.

Speaking of swastikas, interesting that our Gorean Warrior is a fan; purely considered as an artistic motif i'm sure. As they say, i did Nazi that coming.

After reading Seth(the energy personality essence no longer focused in physical matter) describe the books Roberts received as existing whole it got me thinking about all channeled transmissions that way. Whether the entity is considered part of the channel's mind, the greater human mind, or some metaphysical model derivative of Adam Kadmon the contemplation of these ideas lead to examination of the mind and it's properties. These images as meditative art are an effective means of accessing, exploring and exercising an extradimensionality of awareness/existence guided by the considered properties of the channeled work. I get the same sensation you described from it.

@dom

First song that came to mind :

Synthetica

Some of us are wild ones
Ever under wanted, I believe

Near the end of the video there is an ascending line being drawn that reminds me of something I read about holy ratios and how their proportion applied to stories/songs attune the listener with the divine to uplift from the material to spirit. This idea does follow with the crescendo of the music and lyrics of the song. Makes for a good anthem. Guess that's why it's a fave. Other songs I might list later.

Besides the Aleph there's also a relationship to the point and circle and the letter theta according to some theosophic model. Maybe gotta check slinging those LVX signs too.👀

Apparent and real solar motion is easily encoded into the symbol. The common attributions of hours, days and seasons across various traditions maybe implies an awareness on whether apparent or real solar motion is relevant. Earth dwelling skywatchers.

Austra is a fave. Spellwork is gorgeous.

And here's the post regarding the point and circle to follow up on that.

...in H.P.Blavatsky’s book “The Secret Doctrine”. According to her when the dot within the circle starts moving it creates a horizontal line and then a vertical one, thus creating the cross in the circle (the most known form of the ancient Greek Theta). Then, the cross starts spinning within the circle, the result being a svastica within the circle; that is the symbol of creative energy which derives from the Θέλημα/Will.

So the Ancient Greek Θήτα and the cross within the circle (creative energy) are identical, they both derive from the dot in the circle and give birth, in their turn, to the svastica within the circle, which is the symbol of any creative manifestation (though still in a female form given it is in the circle; the svastica becomes phallic when it moves out of the circle).

It is interesting that in its archaic form, Θ was written as:
• two lines vertical to each other within a circle
• and later, as a line or a point within a circle.

I've never heard of that synth band, I was expecting a list of  popular synth bands.

Your avatar looks like a swastika, it's tasteless and I recommend that you change it.   Maybe go and watch a documentary on World War 2 and the pogroms of the invading German army then come back here and see how you feel about this issue.

That's kind of you to suggest.

Metric and Austra are in the millions of views. There was an attempt to not be obscure and their songs have a quality that can easily be interpreted thelemically.  I guess there's Kimbra, St.Vincent, Grimes and the like. They have some songs I like. Wouldn't call them favourites though. Depeche Mode? Black Celebration is fantastic. Makes me think of getting together for a sexy black mass.

@runelogix

You've probably seen this before, the flower of life:

Sacred geometry

(I think this pic is actually the "seed of life"). There's a lot of information on this on the internet, some of it is interesting, but a lot of it is more "woo-woo".

Near the end of the video there is an ascending line being drawn

Nice video, and appropriate for this thread. Its basically the same mirroring effect I used for the manuscript pages.

Glad you noticed the video. 😎  The cover to Austra's Feel It Break is similar, too.

This image:

had me immediately thinking of this carving.

After reading Seth(the energy personality essence no longer focused in physical matter) describe the books Roberts received as existing whole it got me thinking about all channeled transmissions that way.

Another one of these "channelled" texts, and probably the most famous is the Quran. I remember reading that the Islamic belief is that it existed eternally, before it was "channelled" by Gabriel, this sounds like another way describing what you mentioned about the Seth books.

Scribes scribble.

Sometimes they have fantastic visions or tell stories about angels who dictate, or Mahatmas who push one's hand and fingers.

The alleged sources don't really mean anything. It is the content that stands or falls on its own.

Musicians have described receiving songs as if already existing. Brings to mind the Muse and a quote from Aiwass:

Come now! Come Now! All ye Kings
Heed the word of the God who sings!
AMN

Book of Codes 1:31

I am the honored. I am the scorned.

Faith and the Muse

The way the video uses colour and layering brought to mind the suggestion of matching palette to emotional/intellectual forms on the manuscript pages. Might allow for more differentiation while providing another means of accessing the work.

The alleged sources don't really mean anything. It is the content that stands or falls on its own.

If the content itself is talking about the alleged source then there could be something else going on hence this "higher dimensional" interpretation. "The Khabs is in the Khu, not the Khu in the Khabs" could be talking about this, something that was seemingly as it was is actually "inside out" from another perspective.

Here's my first attempt with a more muted palette. With some effects applied it doesn't look too bad:

It would be cool to make a program especially for Liber AL that would flip through it with different mirrorings/colours/layers.

'Beyond Purple'.

A sacred eye appears strongly. Good sense of depth adding to the 'extradimensionality' sensation. And it's easier to make out the text from the chance shape of the letters.

That AL is an automatic writing and this is the manuscript of the compelled hand makes this the perfect work to look at in this fashion to find a way to perceive and understand that frozen moment.

Water has memory.

A program would be great labour saver.  I like your creative input though. Unless you think a program is the better extension of what you want to do, or maybe find a way to use them together. Could make meditative vids.

Another idea: rotated 45 degrees:

For some silliness a "retro monitor" effect:

(needs to be max size or it looks crap)

O, the Omega, the violet-hued ray of Her Eyes!

Your post reminded me of this line from the poem "Vowels" by Rimbaud. He was also another kind of mystic/shaman, I don't know how he came to know what he did.

Yes, this is partly what is unique about AL. For me, no other text would be as interesting to explore in this way. I also explore it with numerology and have found some things with my own unconventional method, and my hobby is thinking up new ways to represent the information in there. For example, there are ways in which it could be converted into sound. A more "analogue" approach could be used for the manuscript version, and a digital approach for the text. This is one of my more ambitious ideas for a project, which I hope to do if my programming skills improve.

I'll still be posting some "artworks" here though I don't want to over do it as this forum might not be the right place for it (any suggestions for other places where I can post them is welcome).

A bewitching harmony with the Faith and the Muse song.

I am the first. I am the last.

The all-embracing appearance of that frozen moment.

Not sure where to suggest to put your artwork. If you find something make a post and place it in your profile. I'll subscribe and smash that like button.

You're way out in the sticks, duck. I can at least point you toward population. DeviantArt might be what you're looking for. You'll have to do some cultivation but if you spend a bit of time on the site connecting and you're regularly uploading provocative mysterious content with that potential for some unique conversation it might work out. You can do a search for similar content, comment on others work and see if they respond or check yours out. Art specific and more impersonal than facebook. The site has basic social media tools. Journals. Search. You could lean into a theme pretty hard and have the ability to keep your page organized, clear and directed to the promotion/discussion of your work.

Thanks for the reply. That's just my rather neglected blog (which I must update sometime). I have a DeviantArt page though that's also a bit neglected:

https://www.deviantart.com/duximus

I haven't put much on there yet. I'm not so good at the "cultivation" side of things, I am a bit shy about talking to others, even on the internet.

I've noticed that most "Thelemic" and esoteric "art" has a more "creepy" and "dark" vibe, which is fine but I think there's also a place for the more colourful and "non-creepy" stuff that I do, and there may be an audience for it. Thanks for the advice, its all part of what I need to do. It would be cool to contact other like-minded folks and get some feedback and new ideas. 🙂

Thelema is colourful and more of that needs to show. I'm going to be around DA for the next while looking for artists to commission tarot work and will keep an eye on your page. Saw your Base27:418 post mention Trigrammaton. The tarot commission is connected to recent and ongoing work involving Class A docs (XXVII, LXV, VII, CCXXXI, CCXX, etc)  in a Base 10(11) & 27(26) foundational Cabala(subject to change). Trigrammaton, Cephas, 365 in the 27 square. Perfect alignment for the paths(lines) and some substantial overlaps with your work. Looking forward to seeing more.

Glad you saw that post 🙂 (I was fairly pleased with my little "infographic"). I want to read the Trigrammaton thread that you have contributed to recently, but I've been catching up on all these threads, and that one will require more of my (limited) brainpower to really concentrate on it. My base 26 & 27 "findings" are not really gematria in the traditional sense but results of "deciphering". I just added the numbers and letters up to see what I'd get in base 26, initially I got the rather meaningless word "OP". It was only months later that I noticed I had made a typo in my spreadsheet and this gave the wrong sum. After correcting it I got the much more significant "OM". 🙂

Ops.

The direction you're taking is a good way of finding significant markers. It's tapping into the active current and, at least, provoking those working with it or affected by proximity.

The Cabala in development that I'm working on was first about finding a new model through work with o c c u l t  s y m b o l i s m to find an effective re-ordering through correspondences found in Class A works with Crowley's theories(0=2 for example), before applying a new number model. And, if possible, English letters. Basically, use the findings from the correspondences to find a working number foundation and tree design through Magick then go from there.  XXVII, CCXXXI LXV and VII have been like guidebooks written by a visitor who has briefly been to the heavenly lands that co-create our world. My part in this Work started in conscious earnest around 1994.

What Timothy Moss did with the II:76 code in the Thelemite's Guide was remarkable. Those I know that even think about looking at the code the way he did have been warned off. Straight up attack on it. That there's overlaps between my work and his findings is incredible. The solution to the code hasn't been something I've been seeking directly, but to see someone get similar results from their work with something like II:76 directly is energizing.
