One of the channels my television receives shows documentaries and last weekend it screened an hour long programme :
"Myth Hunters : The Search For The Book Of Spells AKA Book Of Thoth" (Season I / Episode 8 : Jan. 2013)
detailing the 'search' for said - "lost ancient Egyptian book of knowledge".

Well, the second half hour focused on A.C.'s "Egyptian Tarot" featuring a marvellously evocative dramatization of the 1904 reception tale in the Cairo Hotel. I was chuffed to witness the old boy scribbling away at his desk, wearing a turban, inspired by the awesome - "voice of Thoth dictating to him the Book of Law" - with all its implications for mankind's future (including magickalist sex shenanigans).
The documentary was a rather entertaining mainstream treatment that concluded its investigation with an astonishing historical revelation!...

Season 1, episode 8 - hardly a coincidence, considering that AC published Book T in season 1, episode 8 of The Equinox!

Perhaps. Would have been more striking had the programme been broadcast in Series 3 episode 5.

Thank you for this @SPHINX! (hey our usernames have something in common) I just watched it & enjoyed it as silly as it is at times. It had me smiling the whole way through. Anything to do with the ancient Egyptian religion does that for me. They raise the premise then dissolve it only to point out how influential Crowley was. He would get a laugh out of it. His Tarot deck & accompanying book is a masterpiece & really shows off the depth of his knowledge right down to the color scales which had never been done properly before. I'm surprised that they didn't bring up Eliphas Lévi because of his importance to their story. Or did I miss that?

ENCORE SCREENING TONIGHT - 2 AM

Just scanning my Tele Guide and this jumped off the page!
The listing that this documentary will be repeated tonight.
I've discovered that "T.V WEEK" is compiled three weeks in advance, as you would for 24 hour programming of 18 digital channels.
So "Special Broadcast Service" ( SBS Channel 3 ) have a large notice about this repeat special at 2 am.
It follows their Live Cycling coverage of Tour De France Stage 19 - 146 km mountain stage.
Any Aussie A.C. fans reading this alert ( like now ) be advised SBS is very reliable and this will happen.
I know what you're thinking - "Just DVR it and sleep through" (typical!).
Well I will record it BUT, also be up watching for the fun of a 'live event'.
Also here in Oz it's a Full Moon with stable Winter sky and ice crystal halo around La Luna direct overhead.
So it'll be - She, hot coco, Aleister and me...
See you on the other side -
3 am Saturday 23rd July 2016!
